The Boy Scouts of America: Teaching the values of Bigotry?

I think that's despicable of them. I honestly do not care if they have the right to descriminate; it's wrong, utterly wrong.

A person should not be hindered in any way by their sexuality or religion. They're forgetting what they're there for; aren't they meant to be running a group that teaches good morals to children? What kind of impression are they giving to these children, teaching them from an early age that you must be religious and straight in order to be included in life? We're all people, God, they should be teaching tolerance and understanding, not discrimination. If kids are taught this, what kind of adults are they going to turn into? The Boy Scouts is about the children, lest we forget.

They could also do with remembering that a gay person is not automatically a paedophile. I know people can get a bit funny about gay people around their children, but in my opinion that is grossly ignorant and judgemental of them, again giving children the wrong idea.

The fact that they use taxpayers of all creeds money just adds salt to the wound. But, in all honesty, I think the real issue here is the fact that the children are being taught that they must live and be a certain way in order to be accepted; teaching such morals is almost criminal.
