Alternate dimensions

I can't say I totally disagree and think there's an alternate dimension(s) out there, but I won't deny it that there might not be either. The thought of ghosts and aliens doesn't sound crazy to me. Humans are advanced for what we know, but we've only in the last 100 years obtained the ideas for cars, and advanced technology. I can't be certain, but I have a feeling that there isn't just 1 dimension with 1 group of people end of story. the world is to diverse, and there's just to much in the world that's gone on to say there is not way there is or isn't. I'd have to say yes there is, but besides what I've said I have to solid argument to back it up.

ok cool i wanted to see if this was here i havent read all BUT i believe all the dimensions are in earth but...each one is in a different dimension...wow harder to explain then i thot..so earth= O and the all exists on earth like(lll)

but they overlap eachother so theyre all on same place we just cant move between them we stay in ours

i think heaven and hell are their own dimension but that laveas a question..what are the others and how many are their

However I tink the dimensions are on a wider scale, the whole universe!

I don't believe in alternate dimensions, no. Why? Because the very concept is ridiculous. Some sort of ideal reality not of our own? It's preposterous! Was that mispelt? Eh, there are no alternate dimensions, because there is only one reality ^_^

If there are, it would be rather interesting but perhaps somebody or something has already messed with the dimentions and we are the result? I try to to keep my mind open. It is a possibility.

Interesting topic we have here...

I do believe we have alternate dimensions, we currently have knowledge of the two that we have now but what if there is much more than we can see? We can't see smells, we can only smell them. If we didn't have eyes then we couldn't see, what if there is a completely differant 'sense' that we don't have the receptors to recieve? Dogs only see in black and white, we see in colour, what if there is a higher being that can see beyond what we can? We only know so little, I think we have a very long way to go before we met the end.

One thing I have been thinking about is the thing we know as 'time', what if time is just something that is put in place to humans as a barrier and there really is no time, I think it would be beyond our feeble human logic to try and comprehend what existence would be like if we didn't have time, or at least we could control it. This could also work with matter, what if we only have a set limit of what we can create with our mind? Perhaps we have complete control over all matter we just haven't gotten to the stage where we have complete control over it. Look how far we have progress, back in the Dark Ages something like a computer would of seemed like magic... who knows where humanity will be in the next 1000 years, we have already gotten close to learning to clone things.

As for alternate plains as in what would of happened if say the Pagans took over Europe rather than the christians, or if Hitler had won the war what would the rest of the world be like. It would be interesting to see these other worlds, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was completely differant from what we expected, I mean I am not saying this to attack the Christians or anything but what if say the Pagans never converted and ended up killing off every christian and burn down all the churches and Paganize the rest of the world: Now I am sure a lot of people would think that the world would be a much worse place, everybody would be barbarians and such, but thats what made our ancestors try and change it. But what if in reality we learnt the world was actually in a much better state? For most of us, we believe what we want to believe, we do mostly accept the truth, but then who knows? We can try and comprehend our differant opinions of what might of happened but we would only know if we could see it with our own eyes.

Also I am sure a lot of people here wonder what happens when we die, and refuse to believe anything thats already been said. I think from what we know, it makes perfect sense to say that when we die, we just no longer exist, pure nothingness. No afterlife, destined to be dead. I personally try not to believe that but sometimes I feel that is just what might happen when I die. All this spiritual stuff is from our ancestors that didn't want to face the fact that when we die its all over so they made these stories to try and help with others to deal with it, but ironically they chose to believe it... and thats why we believe it today.

What I personally like to believe in though it seems rather flawed is the idea of differant plains of existence, kind of like heaven, hell, hel, valhalla, nifelhiem etc... and they all exist together. When we die we go to the world that we mostly believed in OR we go to the world determined by the way we lived our life, not in the sense of good vs evil, but more like we made our time here on earth, so much so that our name will be remembered by nearly everybody from that plain of existence. Say for example somebody like Mozart, throughout his life he hardly ever saw a penny, and he was quite sick near the end, his whole life he struggled to survive like most of us, but he had a talent with music that he managed to leave his mark on almost the entire modern world, yet he died without a penny. Now what if because of that he is living in some type of perfect paradise right now. This is just an observation but the most remembered people normally have lived lives harsher than the average human. Myself included to be honest hehe

This involves one of those *if a tree falls an no one is around.....* scenario's. I think it exsits. Just because there are something that we just can't explain we throw it out the window. Some just get thrown out as if it were just coincedence. Just like things we can not see because they are so small....what do they see? There has to be more planes or life is pretty dull for the small. That an heavan an hell were kinda based on the theory that we either progress or regress. I do not know much on this subject, but there is my two cents an a dollar

According to String Theory (and M-Theory) there are 11 dimensions in the Universe.

The ones we can't detect are too small and curled up in on themselves.

However it's hoped that by the end of 2007 the new Particle Accelerator at CERN will be able to give physicists some more insight and help them to refine their theories.

Can't say I do believe in them, but gathering enough facts and data, I might. There are many unexplained things around our planet, even the neighboring galaxies which is beyond our own comprehension, but still its worthwhile to know these things actually exists.

For example, the Bermuda Triangle. What causes it to have such strong electro-magnetical pulses that it acts like a jammer and sucks everything that came across its area in. And also the disappearance of the old civilization there.

Another to note is the disappearance of the Aztecs. Why were they so advanced that they smelted Platinum using only crude tools? Or so we believe.

Again, if we can bend time nor physics, that would cause a negative track in time, which means we could have enter a so-called "Twillight Zone" or a parallel dimension like in Silent hill. I am only basing these to the Video games ever close to the topic and again, I am not sure whether things like this are best yet left unexplained.
