Oooh, I have faith in God above all.
I know He has great plans for me
always supplying me with tons of mercy
and grace.

I have faith in my parents. They are
always there, ready to help me with my
problems.

... Didn't we already discuss how just because you don't think you have a religion, or just because you don't follow an organized religion, doesn't in any way mean that you don't have faith?

EDIT: Ten years ago. That would make you what, like six? Yet again, folks, somebody who is caught up in the "it's cool to hate religion" craze.

Just because you don't follow an organized religion doesn't mean you have no faith. You still have faith, whether you realize it or not -- maybe not faith in the existence of a Higher Power, but faith in its nonexistence, or maybe faith in any other explanation of nature, such as Evolutionism (which is as much a religion as anything else, by the way, hence the -ism). Like I said before, we all have faith in what we personally deem to be reasonable. It's what we deem "reasonable" that differs from person to person. For example, not only do I have faith in my religion, but also extremely simple things -- I have faith that my truck will be where and how I left it, because that's the most reasonable thing for me to believe. More closely related to this forum, I have faith that Square-Enix will produce FFXII as a quality game, because I've seen their history in producing Final Fantasy games, and it would be perfectly reasonable to believe that their next would follow the standards.

By the way. When you're five years old, you can't understand religion, and you definitely can't "turn your back on the church". I've been a football fan for as long as I can remember, but that doesn't mean I would cry if the Bears lost when I was two.

Just wondering darksephiroth, I understand that you
turned your back on the church or whatever that means, but
can you make it clear what exactly you believe now?

When you say you're anti-god, do you mean you deny
His existence, or do you continue to acknowledge God's
existence but are against His Word? Just wondering.

After I became goth, I turned my back on church. I haven’t been in a church in like 2 years. I have no faith, I believe if you want something to happen…well get up your *** and go make it happen!

Well I actually don't belive in anything I havent seen, heard, tasted, felt, smelled and so on. So I don't belive in god or Allah or even Buddah because I haven't seen them or anything.

Maybe you can call me an atheist then.......

EDIT: Apart from that I guess my god is my PS2

Do you believe in Evolutionism? That's about the most common religious faith people have without realizing that they have religious faith. And if you believed that there is no god, or "higher power", then you would be an Athiest -- if you simply say "I don't believe", that makes you Agnostic. Either way, like I said, you have faith in (believe) many, many things, and it's whatever seems reasonable to you. Maybe you believe that, if you don't make your bed when you leave your room, your bed won't be made when you come back to it. Maybe you believe that when you walk outside or into your garage, you'll see the same vehicles that should be there -- not a big cardboard cutout of that vehicle, not a similar vehicle, but the same one. As I said, with my truck. Until I look outside, and use my key (which I have faith is still my key, and not one that has been switched out), drive it around, and look through it to see all of my stuff is in it, I can't be absolutely certain that it's mine -- and even if I do, there's no absolute certainty. It would just be unreasonable for me to think somebody would trade my truck out, or steal it, or clean it out for me, so I have no reason to believe any of that instead.

Let me post the definition of "Faith", just so we actually understand it before making a comment on it. Because we all have faith, and we all believe in something.

Faith:
1. Confident belief in the truth, value, or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing.
2. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. See Synonyms at belief. See Synonyms at trust.

Well maybe I belive in evolutionism. However I don't belive in any god's or "higher power" or anyof that mambo jambo.

I don't make my bed when I get up and I never expected it to be made when I return (that is unless someone else makes it instead) *checking* NOPE it still lookes like a mess

"because we all have faith, and we all belive in something"
Well you read my post so it should be useless to say that I don't
Yes I actually don't, really why should I??
I stated "i don't belive in anything I've seeen, tasted and so on, and well I haven't seen any god whatsoever..

Quite the contradiction. Even you acknowledge that you believe in something -- any belief requires faith. Especially Evolutionism, which does require a belief in a "higher power", though simply time and nature. You wouldn't expect your bed to be made, because that wouldn't be the most reasonable explanation. Otherwise, it would be "mambo jambo". My point is that we all have faith in things, even if not in people.
