I don't think that where a person lives should have much bearing upon romanticism; you portray women as materialistic, hateful banshees that are out to destroy men and create an impossible society of women only.

to that I say "pfft."

...and as for whoever decided to reputation me with the comment "Topics shift. Don't bitch if a topic doesn't suit you.", I also say pfft. But to counter it, when I stepped in, the topic was going the way of the dodo in terms of intelligence. It had become a blatant and pointless downward spiral into a childish, sandbox-reminiscent war.
That's what I said. To me I think he's just using it as an excuse not to date women anymore. Considering such I do not doubt women have hurt him in the past before, so to technically get over it he pushed his nose into these "facts" and used the excuse of feminism to keep him pain-free. Which is a backfiring plan, of course. Braska, as much as I can agree with you on somethings you really need to let it go in another way. One part of life is to accept, accept how life is and live with it. The world isn't fair as it has been said a million times before so you really need to get on with it another way. Feminism isn't a good excuse not to date someone you may like. The two genders were put on this earth together for a reason and I DO know you will be unhappy if you choose to live this bachleor life. What you need is the ability to tell what a person is like because if a girl you want to date feels controlling, you can end it.

Romance is very real, you just don't see it because hollywood paints it with two beautiful rich people and teens rush into relationships thinking they are soulmates. If you can see through that then it is easier to continue.

I do believe in romantic love myself. I believe if that if you can find your perfect match, you can find romantic love. I believe I found my perfect match and he is always acting romantically towards me, it's very sweet. Some people get sick of each other after a while and don't tend to act like they're in love as much as others. Some people like to be romantic while others don't. I know I'm girly but I can't help it.

Shadowstrike takes classes from Quistis - (lv 2)
Interesting thread, wonder why i havent come across it until now... Ah well...

Anyways, yes I believe in a state of "Romantic Love"

To me that is the first few months that a couple has after that usually akward "getting to know you" stage... Its awesome/wonderful/unforgettable... all that. I really do like that alot.

BUT, it fades. It's supposed to... Or should anyways. Im not saying the romantic sense will fade, but, for the most part that "magic" feeling subsides. Its then after all that that you really know the other person, and from there... if its supposed to happen that the posibility of REAL loves can happen...

Yeah so there. I can get mushy. Heh...

I just like girls is all.
