The meaning of life--there is no meaning of life. "god" was just bored and decided to put us here. For what reason? Who knows, everyone has different reasons.
Basically, "god" is playing the Sims. Think about it; we are put here, we run around, get jobs, educations, etc. Then we die...or get our file erased. Yep, that's the meaning of life. But in all reality, I can't answer the question. I mean, it's kinda impossible.

Chocoboy, i am a christian, and im not going to straight out say that God is the answer to life, well cause he is, but i don't think you're really going to accept that because that's what every christian says right? GOD IS THE MEANING TO LIFE!!! and you should just accept that without any real proof or nothing to think on and you should accept it and have God be your whole life.
Well im going to say it, God CAN be the meaning to your whole life. But the meaning of life is more of a personal question, and everybody has this whole mindset that it's an impossible answer. For the human race, there is an answer and that's God. But it's a more personal question, basically the meaning of life is what you want the meaning of life to be, think of the MOST IMPORTANT thing, idea, concept, whatever to you, and you should devote your WHOLE LIFE to that. Now if it's a ridiculous thing, maybe you should ask yourself what you are living for. And i think to better rephrase your question would be "What is worth someone devoting their whole life to?" Ask yourself that. But if you want to read something, and i know your probably not going to do this because since im a christian it'd only be right of me to mention the Bible right? to try and "convert" you to christianity right? like this whole post is just a ploy to get you to christianity and i really don't care what you're asking what you're going through ALL i care about is getting you saved because for some odd reason i believe i'll get more "brownie points" with God when i go to heaven, when the Bible clearly and logical states that it's not by my acts that i go to heaven but by what my heart says. But the book you should read in the Bible is Ecclesiastes. To quickly sum it up it's written by some guy, they haven't found out who the author is but most people believe it is written by solomon in his later days, when he's old. Anyways, solomon questions life and wants to see what's up with the world so he goes out and tries to find the meaning of life and Ecclesiastes is his record of everything that he did and his thoughts. So read it, it's a very unique book compared to the whole Bible. im out, God Bless Rob

I, too, am Christian.. but I'm not going to rant on like Zeddy.
 Basically, we can never be certain of the meaning of live. Mainly because we're mortals... and we don't have the mind capacity to come up with it ourselves. We're not all-knowing like our friend God. The only way to really find out is to Kill yourself really. I mean, if there is no meaning and you just die.. then you've found your answer. But if there is a God, you've commited a sin by commiting suicide.. and you go to hell. Can't really win. I've read/heard that prayer is the answer... I personally need to find this out for myself.. concidering I'm wondering around confused like a chicken with his head cut off at the moment. I don't really want to accept it.. but I'm thinkin' that God actually DID create this world. I mean, it's the most reasonable explanasion philosophically speaking... I dunno. I'd rather go out and get drunk/stoned/laid every night.. but that's against God's will. And basically... according to the scriptures... since God made us, we have to submit our will to God and follow his will. (So that supposedly, we can go 'back' to live with God with Eternal Happiness.) I don't really know... It's impossible to know. That's where faith comes from. Blind. Hopeless. Faith. I hate life... Oops.. I ranted on like Zeddy. My Bad.  |

I'm a christian too except i doubt..a lot. Well I was always told that you had to work hard in this life in order to like pay your fee for heaven...it's complicated. But basically you have to like work hard and be nice in this life and you have a good easy life in heaven.

This is such a hard question, as everyone has their own philosophy on what the meaning of life is. Even though i am a christian i would say that the meaning is very personal to each individual who attempts to answer it, depending on what has happened in each of their respective lives. The usual answer i would give (apart from the legendary '42') would be to just not bother worrying about it and just enjoy life while you can! Considering we only live once it would be rather foolish to spend all our time worrying what'll happen after we die! So the moral of this little would be to work hard and play harder!
