The Kyoto Treaty was unrealistic, and completely unfair to the United States. We never should have entered it. But no, Bush didn't really "back out", he just didn't implement it -- because, as you pointed out, it would have meant massive unemployment.

I know this thread is nearly three years old -- and completely riddled with blatant extreme stupidity from nearly a year ago -- but I'd still like to see this "ruling" mentioned in the first post. My guess is that it's either completely fabricated, or intentionally misquoted and manipulated.

Personally I think the elections were manipulated, I saw a documentry about it but I think it was by Micheal Moore so I wouldn't trust it. But with all the stuff about the Illuminati I just don't know, but most people use the illuminati as an excuse to try and use it for their own wants.

As for Bush, he is a man that wants the best for himself just like all of us, he has made some stupid decisions like the war in Iraq (Which is really Israel's war) but he has made some good decisions like I just saw on the news that he made same sex marriges illegal. I doubt many of you guys could do a better job.

While I disagree with you on some (many) subjects, including some of those in your post, I definitely agree with one. He has made some good moves. He may not be a good President by any means, but I don't believe he's a bad President. I agree with going to war in Iraq, but disagree with the way we're handling it -- we're slapping at bees (terrorists, insurgents) and ignoring the hive (Muslim extremism). While he's made some good moves, there are still plenty that I disagree with -- border control, government expansion, spending, and more. It's difficult for all too many people to believe that members of an opposing political party or religion don't blindly support.

Well Sas, you pretty much summed up how I feel on the matter, depending on what you actually mean by them but those are the issues.

Yes, Farenhype, mindless garbage to try and attack the already annoying but never the less still better media. I would not base any arguements on a person such as Micheal Moore but there may be some truth to the matter as it does seem odd for him to win again.

I think he is doing a crap job but it could be much worse, at least Mr Moore isn't president. What is the situation on the border control at this moment? I heard from a reliable source that when they refused to work people were over joyed at the peace, the highways were free from traffic and it was simply amazing.

Odd for Bush to have won in 2004? Not really. I've said many times, the Democrats could have walked away with that election if they had put up somebody, anybody, worth voting for. Kerry was just a schmuck. This past election wasn't about who we wanted to be in office, it was about who we wanted to stay be out of office -- and Kerry would have sucked much more than Bush does. I didn't want to vote for Bush either, but I certainly wasn't going to vote for Kerry, and it's pointless to vote for third-party candidates because unless they get a certain percentage of the vote, they don't get any money from the government for their campaigns anyway, and it really is a wasted vote. I still say they're setting up for Hillary to run in '08. It's much easier to win when there's no incumbent, and Hillary has been hungering after that power ever since she first controlled the White House while Bill was "President". I've been expecting Hillary to run since late 90's. And the only person the Republicans can really put against her is Condi Rice. It'll be interesting.

First off, the President doesn't control gas prices. No matter what you've heard, he doesn't get a kickback from those eeeevil oil corporations, he doesn't set oil prices, and he doesn't set gas prices. (Oil prices and gas prices are two different things, by the way.) And we're still not paying nearly as much as most other countries pay for gasoline. As for being in a war -- actually, the "war" ended long ago, right now we're stabilizing Iraq so it can stand on its own instead of us having to control everything. We can't topple a dictator's regime and then say "Well, we're off, good luck!" We should have taken Saddam out more than a decade ago -- but we completed our mission in the first Gulf War, and Clinton sat back and got his **** wet while Saddam broke sanction after sanction from the UN, and we needed a President that actually gave a damn about the military and realized the threat of terrorism to step in and say "No more".

You're upset about gas prices and the war -- I wonder how many people don't realize that if we went to war for oil, oil and gas prices would be down (simple supply and demand), and that we haven't taken a drop of oil from Iraq for years.

i can agree with that, blair has blown all the british money of healthcare and they av used it for there ski trips. i mean, i thought they were meant to help us, not help themselves. we need that healthcare, no wonder y so many hospitals are closing down.
