New Spam Thread?

I'm going to say no. I take everything I have against mods back, and back them by saying that they took it down for a reason. From what I remember being said, some people used spam to flame people... And it got a tad out of control.

So... even though it would be cool, I'm going to say no... Besides, who needs the spam thread when you have all these games, and other places to talk. We have VM now, so convos can be taken there...

I really miss the spam thread, and even though there's MSN now, I haven't really been able to find anyone. And... it's not really TFF anymore...

In all honesty, we know that TFF has dropped in participation since the deletion of the previous spam thread. It's sad, but it's a fact. Even the Mods know it, even if they'd never admit it...

So, I'm going to throw my vote in as a "yes".

I too, am going to say no, just because I haven't really participated much in the spam thread, before my long absences or recently since I came back. I'll post something or two in there every now and then but for the most part, it doesn't really affect me, but I guess it will hopefully make all of the mods jobs a tad bit easier if it doesn't come back.

Sure, people left because it was gone, but that really goes to show how dedicated they were to the community to begin with.

There are Visitor Messages now, as well as all those games. We don't need a pointless spam thread anymore.

And also, as far as activity drop, it only SEEMS like we did. TFF's been pretty much the same. We only lost like 3-4 members, tops, to the spam thread. I think they made their own spam forum to do their own thing. Either way, TFF's activity hasn't really changed much. Spam thread only gives an illusion to activity.

And yes, it's still TFF. TFF =/= huge spam forum. TFF = The Final Fantasy. A Final Fantasy community forum, first and foremost. Don't forget that.

No. Don't bring it back. It was okay at first, but then it turned into two / three people talking bollocks... and those members usually weren't even that big of a contribution to the forums anyway.

I say yes. But I think there should be mild limits, like how many times a person can post in the spam thread in a day, as to stop it being used as a chat room. *eyeroll*

We have a problem with members devoting all their activity to Word Games anyway. And when new members join, all I see is, "Post in word games, that's where you make friends!!!" Instead of, you know, gaining notice and respect in other parts of the forum.

And if that weren't enough, I am not going to read through a thousand posts a day just to make sure no one flamed anyone else. It's too hard to moderate.
