Locke found Banon lying on a riverside, barely alive. When he bent down to drag the old man back onto land, Banon said "Just the thief I've been looking for..." The treasure hunter was taken aback for a moment, but then wordlessly kicked the old man back into the river, and watched him float out into the middle and eventually sink.
