I have a scanned text I want to upload onto the literature category, and I can't attach it because its too big. Unlike here, theres no button for insert picture... is there a reason?? and can I do anything besides type it??

If the text isn't that long, you should probably just type it. If you don't want to, you can upload your image to an image host (TinyPic, Photobucket, Image Shack, and others) and then type [IMG]link to image here[/IMG]. Actually just post a link to the image because the [IMG] code is disabled in the Literature forum.

What exactly did you scan? If it is somehow copyrighted, you probably won't be allowed to post it on the forum.

go to tinypic, upload it, and make a link in the lit forum.

Although if you scanned it, it's probably at 300dpi so it's really fracking huge.

You'd need to reformat it for 72dpi.

its a short story I wrote about a page long... and the dpi stuff confuses me *not the most technological saavy* and don't for tinypic and those a paid subscription??

No, they're free. photobucket owns tinypic, so it's free.

default scan resolution is 300dpi. aka really huge 2000x3000 pixel.

And really, if it's over a page in writing, that's like half a page in text. So just type it.
