Login problem

Hi, i had a problem logging in earlier, ive got my account set up so that my password is entered automatically when i put in my username but today it said i was entering invalid login details, and i had to have a password reset sent to me so i could get online, can anyone explain why it decided not to except my details this time?its never been a problem before. thanks x

Do you share your computer with anyone else? There's a chance that someone could have changed your password if you had it saved.

Also, it will clear out any time you empty your browser's cookies, or if you log out manually. Is there a chance that you were logged out and were putting in the incorrect password by accident?

I think I have a small question regarding this subject. when I want my password to be send to me, do I still receive the same, old password without any changes? You know, some forums send you a new password every time you forget it and that makes impossible to know whether your previous password was changed by someone else or it was you who was putting in the incorrect password.

I "forgot" my password, and this is what I got.

I then reset it, and the forum emailed the new password to me.

Then, I changed my password from within the forums.


Sensitive information was blocked out with X's, of course.

No i dont share my pc with anyone, I will just type in the password instead of saving it as 'remember me' just incase t happens again

I had a few log in problems ever since i've been using that "Remember Me" thing. I type in my password and username correctly, because it goes on to that welcome page - the one thats only there for a few seconds. Then it goes back onto the log in page. I've worked out that if I click into any forum, I will then be in my account, but this is getting anoying now lol. AND, if I don't click on the "Remember Me" thing, I won't get logged in at all...

Just wondering, did either of you just switch or upgrade browsers?
I noticed that when I went from Firefox 2 to Firefox 3 all that information went.
TFF, hotmail, myspace, every site I use with an email really.

It's often one of those smaller things.

I've not upgraded anything on this laptop - too scared to cos its my school, and they're so tight, they'd probably fine me for the smallest scratch lol... So nothing has been done to any software or programmes... Just that "Remember Me" option has ruined it lol...

I updated a few templates that had some login/cookie scripts in them... maybe this will resolve the issue? Let me know. Sorry for the trouble.
