Group Memberships?
I noticed that in my profile under "Group Memberships" it says that "Phat Chocobo is not a member of any public groups".
What are the public groups, and are there even any with the forums here? |

....you know....I noticed that too. I think our clans used to be there back when we had them....but what they're for NOW, I dunno. Maybe we'll do something with that, then.

Umm, no. Actually, Group Memberships applies to the groups aside from "Member."
We have all kinds of groups, most of which are currently empty. Most of them are for special cases, like users with signature bans, or the users who are part of the Article Management team. The same goes for the staff groups. Unfortunately NONE of those groups are public. Public basically means the users can choose which they're a part of. I'm not sure why that field is actually a part of the profile at all. When I get home in just a short while, I'll have a look in the admin panel and see if I can remove it altogether.

Hmm...in every other forum I've ever been to that section was for such groups as clans, actually.
Otherwise, yes, it was just for groups such as 'admins' or 'SMODs' or 'Mods'...staff positions and such. No need to remove it all together, though it may be any idea to fashion a purpose for it if there isn't one.

I think it would be cool to list club memberships and such.
I don't know if its possible or not, but I think it would be a nice little touch. Details, ya know.

The reason it worked with clans was because each clan had its own forum. Any member with access to said forum would be placed in the usergroup. Clubs are different since they're all public threads within a single forum.
