Basic way to aquire Gold is by posting on the forum, in any thread other than the Word Games thread.

The other ways include:

Winning the lottery.
Having gold donated to you.
Beating high scores in the arcade.

Occasionally contests will be started that allow Gold as prizes.

You can't directly change your class... it is based on your post count.

I know that the HP gauge is full/filled based on your average post per day count, but how is the total number of HP determined?

Does each "level" have a set amount of HP points?

Also, if you have an empty HP gauge and have been a member for 5 days, if you post 30 times on your 6th day would that take your average back up to 5 posts a day and refill your HP gauge to maximum?

From my experience, HP does seem to be determined by level, but there's something else that factors into it as well. Perhaps general activity? I'm not entirely sure. Dawezy and I are both level 59 -- I have 1462 max HP, and he has 1459 max HP. He's also been here longer than me, but has been slightly less active. As a general rule, though, I'd say it's based highly on the level.

Of course, levels grow with experience, and experience grows with posts.

No, posting 30 times in one day will not fill your gauge. You only receive credit for five posts per day. So, if you join on day one and post 30 times on day six, you're still only going to have ~17% of your HP due to the fact that only five of those posts count.

Basically, long hiatuses take even longer times to make up for.
