Which universe of the FF games

I want to experiment and try to make a mini game and i was thinking in which universe i would have to make it.

So the question is: Which universe of the FF games do you like the most and why is that?

I myself am going to vote for Final Fantasy IX's universe. The reason I chose FFIX's universe is because I like the less futuristic feel to it. It feels closer (not all the way, but somewhat) to our own technology and state in real life. I also loved the cities and races within the FFIX universe. However I'll be honest and say FFX's universe was a VERY close second, considering how amazing it's universe was as well, don't forget Blitzball, best created sport ever!

Which universe of the FF games do you like the most and why is that?

I voted for FFVII. I happen to like the more modern setting, and I think it really closely resembles our own world, with all the technological innovations going on. But there's still the spiritual aspect as well. The lifestream and all of it's wonders. Awesome stuff. Plus how freaking AWESOME is the Shinra Corporation? I know they did some terrible stuff, but MAN! I love everything about this place. There like the goverment of the entire world or something. Lot's of stuff you can do with a concept like that.

If this was a mulitple choice vote (maybe it was, idk), I would go with FFIX as well. It's got the whole awesome "middle ages" thing going on, but there's a lot of innovations going on to work with as well. Lots of very imaginative characters to work with, and lots of hidden references to previous games too. So really, you could do quite a bunch with this world.

I like the FFIX world the best. It was kinda of Midevil but with futuristic type technologey. It was an intresting mix for a game. Plus I like the types of creatures and races it had in thegame. It was by far my favorite universe.

I say XII. The sheer variety and size of the world is amazing, and they all look quite beautiful. Each area of Ivalice has a rich history to it that you can use. Ah, Phon Coast, Paramina Rift, Cerobi Steppe, those are just some of the cool places XII's universe has.

My favourite universe is the one in which general topics about Final Fantasy are only created in the forum so ambiguously titled "General Final Fantasy". I'd like to visit that universe.

i self don't know which to choose, because i think i mixed the games to much during the playing. i enjoyed playing every FF. so tnx all for the reply.

For me, it wouLd be FFXII! The pLaces and surroundings there were just awesome! Eruyt ViLLage is my favourite, the pLace where Fran is from! ALso.. the FFXII Universe is quite bigger than the other FF and nice to expLore! :-) Not just the viLLages and cities but aLso.. other pLaces Like, the Giruvegan is breathtaking.. :-)

I like FFX, because even once you've been there you might have to go back to get a certain item or weapon or fight a certain boss

I can't really decide between FFX or FFIX. I love FFX's blitzball-inspired cities, Luca is amazing! So many of the towns were just so beautiful. I ended up voting for this one even though I couldn't decide.

FFIX's world would also be great. Airships flying around, lighthearted cities like Alexandria...

I always liked the universe of FF IX, basically because it reminded me the of the old school FF games and for some reason everything looked so amazingly beautiful. The city's were greatly designed, simply beautiful especially Cleyra and Alexandria and well, even the lack of futuristic technology was somewhat appealing.

I have voted for FFX's universe. I have voted for this as I feel that it was really well thought out and a hell of a lot of work must of gone into the design and programming.
It was visually very appealing.
But on the other hand, FFVII's universe was in a class of its own, again it was a very ingenious design and well thought out.

So I guess it's a choice between FFX and FFVII. I can't decide!

FFXII might have been boring and not all that wonderful of a FF, but you have to hand to it, the graphics ruled, and the universe was varied and gorgeous.

Hands down I would say FFIX or X's universe. FF IX has a great "fantasy" feel and I think it would be the most interesting to actually live in. Airships and that whole "enchanted" 1800's feel mixed with very diverse people. I think FFIX had the most diversity out of all of them, not to mention all the cool creatures like Gargants and Oglops. FFX would be great too, with Blitzball and everything. My third would be FFVII universe because I would love to go to a real Gold Saucer. Hard to just pick one but I'd say IX ftw.
