So a noobie like me is the first to post? Okay! Let's get this show on the road!

Okami for the PS2

Why on the PS2? Because I have yet to play the Wii version.

It's like having a Zelda game on the PS2, which is another franchise that I love. Except in Okami, it is jam-packed with japanese quirkiness! I love the cel-shading art style of the game, which is quite beautiful. The story is 40+ hours, which is great because I like my games to last. The interactions that you can have with the NPCs can be quite hilarious, and the quests that you go on don't seem like a chore. The Celestial Brush is a fantastic weapon, and quite fun to use even while not engaged in combat. Issun could give Navi a run for her money as most annoying side-kick, but he's pretty humorous, so I'll let that slide.

The final boss for me was totally unexpected. I mean, considering all the other boss battles, this one just seemed...odd. That's a good thing by the way. Keeps you on your toes!

My favorite part? The soundtrack. This game had four composers for its music and I love every single track. Of course, I love japanese-style music, so this soundtrack suits me perfectly. I could just turn on the game and head to the Music Box and spend hours just listening.

Unfortunately, I don't think that we'll see a sequel, considering that Clover Studios has shut down, and sales weren't exactly great....

Okami is a beautiful, fun, and just plain wonderful game that gets my vote as the Best...Game...Ever. (period)

If you've been watching some of my posts, you'll know I LOVE Kingdom Hearts 1. It's for the PS2, and no other.

I've played it all the way through at LEAST 6 times. It never got old for me, it's just that good.

But you're wondering why I think it's so good. Well, it just has a charm not a whole lot of games have. All the disney villains coming together and various others things. It didn't feel a whole lot like a Squeenix game, it felt like... something never done before.

Of course, this was before SS became Squeenix, and Chain of Memories and KH2 just weren't as good IMO. I wonder how the games would've ended up without the merge...

Super Paper Mario for Wii. I always have a hard time deciding which Paper Mario is better, but SPM is "a love letter to 8-bit games" accoring to 1up.com, and I definitely agree. It's both a platformer and a RPG, but this was the first game where it's more platformer than RPG. The 2D/3D mechanic was fantastic and should be used in more games! It had a nice story, great levels and humor, flawless gameplay and nice music. SPM is a heart-warming game ^^ My favorite game so far this gen.

Chrono Trigger for the SNES, PSX, & DS


Chrono Trigger has remained my favorite RPG of all time, despite how much my tastes in gaming have changed over the past several years. It mixes all the great things about both sides of square and enix. It has such a rich, imaginative, and charming world. It has a deep and complex plot, but without the melodrama, without any pretentiousness, nor is it particularly convoluted. An unforgettable cast of characters makes the trip through time a proverbial roller coaster ride.

It also has an enjoyable and different take on the standard ATB system with combo abilities as well as no random battles. It has one of the best sountracks ever composed for an RPG, only rivaled by it's own sequel, chrono cross.

In my mind, it is the definitive JRPG. You'll find everything good about JRPGs in chrono trigger without any of the dreck. Easily one of the best RPGs ever, and one of the best games of all time.

Why?

Because, it's awsome zombie blasting, some new gun's, new charater, new puzzle's, and it has a person that think's he's a boy and a girl! XD

FataL Frame 3; The Tormented

Since it's the Latest game/series I've been pLaying for quite some time now.. I've been amaze on the uniqueness of this survivaL/horror game.. Not onLy the story was based on two scary foLktaLes in some part of Japan, the characters aLso are interesting.. in aLL series the characters were connected.. I actuaLLy made a graph about this.. I was shocked one time that one character in the 1st series were the sibLing of the character in the 2nd series..

The graphics are great, aLso the settings!

ALL in aLL it can bring you to the mood, where it scares the heLL out of you..

I think the best game ever would have to be Final Fantasy 5.
Just because it has a great story line and awesome charcters
I beat thjat game atleast 5 times over and everytime its just great

When stuff is happening in the game like when gaulf
Gives his own life to save caras
It just feel touching inside me
I can feel like he cares.

And just the whole story line
With the warrors of dawn is neat how there was a whole adventure before
Bartz and the gangs adventure

And it goes into great detail.

The job system is good as well
I like how they did all that

Is Star Ocean: Till the End of Time real? I think so, yes.

Oh, I've played it numerous times, if I have to say so myself.

3. Must give reason why you think it is so awesome.
This game is so amazing for many reasons. For starters, it has one of the greatest real-time battle systems I've ever seen. You can't just utilize the button mashing to kill enemies, because the Fury Gauge will deplete, leaving you stunned. It provides quite a challenge there. Plus, the plot was also great and complex. If you play to near the end of disc two, it gets very interesting.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

It may be a sequel, but unlike killer games with crappy sequels, this one was wonderful. It had an intricate storyline, and full of sidequests. Depending on how you minipulated time was something that cause hours of my life spent seeing what would happend if I went back and did this at this time wearing this mask. I have Days of gameplay on there, and a time limit was a more chalenging part, even with time minipulation.

And Fierce Deity is the most awesome transformation ever.

Beat it twice... over 80 hours of gameplay!!!

Well the name should be enough but... The plot is very gripping, and when a character dissapears you feel something... not nessecarily grief... the game play is very fun, a wide variety of characters to play as each with different sklls, there's little things that you can find that improve your outlook on the game such as by completing side quests you can get extra costumes, titles that do something to your stats... never figured that one out but... and last but not least WONDER CHEF ah who didn't like the guy who disguising himself as objects and hiding in your house waiting for someone to find so he can give you a recipe... and the frecipes he gives you all do different things like if you collect them all you gain a title and I think something else. Younger children can play but they won't pay much to the plot... I know this because this is what happened to me... but they will still enjoy it... it is a game worth buying if you have a wii/GCN just don't misstake it for the sequel... tis good... just not as good

I've always liked Mario Kart Wii. I find that it has pretty impressive graphics and I really like the various levels. They are extremely entertaining and there are hours and hours of gameplay.

Final Fantasy VIII

Where do I start?
Plot: The plot is so captivating from start to finish. The way it starts of contrasts so much from where it ends up. It kept me hooked, and kept me coming back to it.

Gameplay: One of the most challenging games I've played. The junction system added something new to the series. Classic FF gameplay underneath that.

Graphics: Not great by today's standards, but awesome for late 90's standards. The FMVs are still great by today's standards though.

Characters: Very well developed. You can feel connected to them (especially Squall for me). The characters made me WANT to know more about them.

Extras: Tons of side-quests, collectables etc.

its amazing because you can send mail to your friends and you can get sidequests for just sending them mail and it has a long storyline and around 20 jobs to lvl to lvl 99

the best game I have ever played is FF VII for the PS1 because of the story I got into and instantly got hooked.. Plus the use of materia and equiping it based on your weapon and armor slots was pretty cool...
