Hi guys im just wandering how many people out there on TFF play Devil May Cry? Because i would like to start a forum on that specific game. And if anyone has any problems with that game, or would like to have a discussion about it.
Although i do have one question myself: Whats a good strategy for killing the giant spider on the first one? I've resently started playing as i borruwed it from a friend and am having a hard time killing it. Does anyone have a good strategy? ![]()

Yeah, I rented the first one and played through part of it, never played the second one at all (though my friend said it wasnt as good as the first). I bought and beaten the third one, which I thought was awesome as a game. I have yet to play the fourth one but I heard it was good as well.
If you're talking about the spider near the beginning of the game, I just ended up increasing my health and devil trigger gauge. Try to not get hit really, and when you get you DT filled up, let loose on him, since that is a good way to get damage. Your pistols can chip away at him if you want to play conservative. Keep trying, the game's bosses aren't easy by any means, but the game is really good and by learning combos and stuff, you're only going to get better at the game.

DMC=Awesome game X3 I'm currently playing 4, but every once in awhile going back to the earlier ones [skipping 2 though =___= 2 does not cut it for me at all.] and playing them when I don't feel like turning on the 360.
Ah...you're speaking of Phantom...if I remember his name being that >_> All I did was increase my health, purchased a few added abilities [Air Hike...and I forget the rest, but anything that gives you a height advantage works] and DT'ing [Devil Trigger] works too. The main thing is, attack the open back. It's a weaker point so it should cut down his health. At least that was my strategy -_-

anytime, good sir. If you need anymore help on any games from the DMC series, don't hesitate to send me a PM and I'll try to help you out best I can. The more you play the better you will get so don't worry if you can't beat a boss right away, just keep at it. If you need any more help, lemme know.

I played the first one, never finished it. I played the demo version of 4 recently though and remember that I actually did have fun with the first game. I'll probably pick them all up at some point in the future. However, I may avoid 2 based on the reviews. Can anyone here who's played it give me more of an idea as to why it is/isn't that good?
As far as progress, I'm fairly sure I reached Griffon, but I don't really remember that well. Was years ago, after all. I didn't play it on a high difficulty either though, cause the game decided I was a wuss during that first mission lol. ![]() ~DragonHeart~ |

I own all of them, and have beaten all of them except for number 2. The second one is okay, but they should've just stuck to the original formula when it came to the characters, battle system, and setting. I'm planing on beating it someday, since it's pretty easy, but it's kind of boring to me.

Actually just got into DMC, bought 4 the other day and beat it last weekend. I haven't played SoS mode yet but I will pry work on it this weekend.
I was thinking though, Dante is frikin sweet on the game. WHen I first picked him up on 4 I realized that he was buffed out like a mofo compared to Nero. Maybe it's the way I played, but I was disappointed when I had to go back to playing as Nero, especially on the 19th mission. Plus Dante has got a better character tone to him, Nero is like a kid, and Dante...well Dante is Dante. |

I absolutely love this series, second only to Doom. Currently own all of them, and have beaten all of them (with DMC3SE very close to 100% SS ranks).
I actually started off with DMC2, so my opinion of that disaster is much higher than others. Moved to DMC1, and absolutely enjoyed it (while hating the terrible control layout, but what can you expect from a derailed Resident Evil project). When I found DMC3, it almost caused me to fail my high school AP exams. The Special Edition caused the same effect on my college courses a year later. I have logged over 160 hours on DMC3, and almost 100 on DMC3:SE. Upon the launch of DMC4, I didn't have an Xbox/PS3, so I had to mooch off friends to finish that one. But since they released DMC4 on the PC earlier in July, I have been playing the hell out of it. Also, I'm thinking about mucking around with textures and maybe models, and making a DMC4 mod, as it is very easy to modify game data.

I have DMC4 on PC. I like it a lot. Nero is a cool character, I didn't like Dante that much in this game. DMC4 was easier then 1 and 3 IMO. Especially with the Trigger gun thing I forgot the name of it for Nero. Hardest boss IMO is that dragon chick thing in that forest.

Yeah, it was overall easier, but fighting Dante on the harder difficulties where he's equipped with ALL his weapons... PAIN IN THE ASS
And it's called the exceed gauge. I haven't paid much attention to it myself (I still need to get the hang of timing max-act).

No intent to double post, but I need to point attention to the battle music for when you fight Bael (ice frog). YouTube music link for those who are unfamiliar: YouTube - Devil May Cry 4: Frozen Frog (BAEL combat) Such great thinking music, it's currently helping me get through my Java assignment. It mostly sounds so twisted and warped, you can't help but focus | ||||||||
