Gta Iv!

I am surprised no one is talking about it.

IGN gave it a 10/10, the first 10 they have given since Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

The city looks huge. I still don't know the entire state of San Andreas, so this will take a while. And the multiplayer. I have been saying for years they should have a free-roam like that. I cannot wait.

Discuss.

I myself shall be purchasing it come the 29th... which indeed be Tuesday last I checked. The multiplayer looks fantastically well done but to be fair they've had quite a while to do it. And the city does indeed look gigantic.

I'm looking forward to unleasing my 'drive-by' instincts all over again

Its going to be an epic game, no doubt about it. I have a feeling it will be one of those games that, even if you dont play video games much or don't care for the GTA series, its something that everyone will probably pick up at one point, kind of like Halo 3. The graphics look really good, I heard they made the targeting system much better, now I just hope the gameplay and storyline are top-notch.

I've heard a lot about this game. I've never really been interested in the GTA series. I would give it a try but I just have always had another game i've wanted a little bit more. But I will definately be picking this one up. If I can ever get my hands on a copy. A lot of places I know are having Midnight launches for it and many friends from school are taking the day off to play it. Epic.

I believe Grandtheft Auto IV will be a great game, but I'm not sure if I'll ever buy the game reasons are it just seems to be the same steal a car, pick up a hooker, kill top people, and have the police involved. I just think Grandtheft Auto is starting to bore me and many other video game fans, that might be the reason why many fans aren't really making a big deal about this game.

True that...
So I was thinking I'd just trade in all my older games on PS2. They keep their value better than some games so I'd probably have enough just through trade-ins. That said I'm keeping Vice city as it cracked me up bad. Chasing fatty with a chainsaw remains one of my most funniest video gaming memories...

If I played them enough I'd want to collect them all, but... yeah I start only playing one of them every now and then after a while.

While true, you could say the same for many games. Every Halo has been the same, essentially. Every Final Fantasy has had the same formula: level up, fight monsters, find out the main character isn't who they think they are, etc, etc.

I think the multiplayer adds a whole new dimension that will draw people in. I am so excited for it.

I can't wait until I have the cash for an xbox, because this is undoubtedly the first and probably only game I'll be playing on it for a good while. The truth of the matter is that, from the trailers, this game is so true. I know this doesn't make sense, but everything about it that I've seen is just spot on. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, Russians and the Russian mob have been not so slowly making their way into New York City, and while a lot of the violence is a wee bit excessive, the same stuff has been going down for the past 10 years or so, when the Russians started to really make their way in.

Also, from what I've seen, this game is essentially taking the city as it is in real life and putting it into the game. The landmarks are more legit than I've ever seen. In GTA3, which was also modeled after NYC, you could kind of tell what was what, but in this game (and I'll assume Vice City and San Andreas, though my knowledge of FL and CA is pretty limited), the landmarks are spot on. In two of the trailers, I've been floored with how accurately things have been portrayed, be it the Unisphere at Flushing Meadows, or even Times Square. I honestly felt like I would be able to know the games map just by knowing my own city. It sounds a little nuts, but they've really gotten the look of the city down so well this time.

I really cannot wait to get my xbox and this game.

I knew you would be excited.

Vice City wasn't like Miami a whole lot. But GTA IV looks so much like the NYC I saw a few months ago. It also has a New Jersey style location too, I believe.

One of the biggest changes is the story. The previous GTA's had sort of filler stories, but this is supposed to be "Oscar-worthy" according to some reviews.

That's the same reason I got maybe half way through Vice City, and played San Andreas for maybe 2 hours, tops. After striving to 100% complete GTA3 (I never 100%'d the 3rd island, but I did one and two) and beating the storyline missions at least twice through, the whole concept got boring. But that was 5-6+ years ago, so who knows?

however, they seemed to have really done something special with GTAIV. I'd buy it asap if I only had a PS3 or XBOX 360, however, the 360 is looking more and more appealing...
