| The man | To add to that, with GTA, you actually learn a lot about what life was like in those times. Granted it's an exaggeration, but lets see, New York (GTA 3) at one point was heavily mafia-run, with tons of hits on bosses and all of that glory. Miami in the 80's was a cocaine capital, as Vice City portrays, and Compton, Watts and South Central are all pretty ghetto like Los Santos in San Andreas. Life is the inspiration for the game, not so much the other way around. And, Killzone still sucks. I tried that last level again today and said **** it. I'm trading it in for my three dollars tomorrow. | ||||||||

| I barely have games that I dislike, or out-right hate, but there are some gems that I really have to post in here. First bad experience that I remember was a SNES game called Lester the Unlikely. Perhaps the idea of a nerd being teleported to a jungle was enticing, but boy did it blow!! And to consider there were better games out there. Used, I mean, because it was a game I bought used. Now I'm a bit more savvy when I buy used games. Second was Bart vs. the Juggernauts. I was being tricked there, when I lent very good games (FFVI!!!) for games like this. I had to face the guy and tell him to give me all the games back because all he had was pretty uninteresting. But this one game I really couldn't get. Not in a chance, and I liked all those SNES Simpsons games (I still remember Bart's Nightmare, and the unique "Game Over" screen. Finally...I love RPGs. Seriously. Each and everyone. Except Revelations: Persona. I rented that game, seeing the premise as interesting, all was fine. The music was awesome. But then...I met the crude idea of seeing a group of fixed characters who had absolutely no idea to progress, while at the same time facing a bunch of progressively tougher monsters. I think the monsters were the one leveling at my expenses. I could have handled that, but then came Brad. Easily put, I'd prefer even Yuffie over Brad. He's vain, he's pretentious, he thinks he's the best, and if you have the bad luck of getting him into your party (which is essentially tantamount of forcefully having him on your 5-man party), you can't get rid of him ever. And you miss the other two possible main characters, which are godlike compared to this piece of...well, you get the point. Besides the fact that you get to halfway through the game with the same weapons and armor (and Persona) from the beginning. That is an experience I'd rather never recall again. In fact, it was so horrible I've never touched a Persona game ever again, and I'm a bit negatively inclined towards Shin Megami Tensei 'cause of it. | ||||||||||||

Inventory | some of the games out there i don't like are: halo- i mean come on, the controls were horrible (unless if you played it with an adaptor that allows you to use a ps2 controller for it). another thing, whats so great about master chief? hes just some robot in a ship that everybody depended on. startropics- this game i don't completely hate, but the dungeons in the game were annoying i couldn't beat the graveyard one it was so hard, the controls were slippery too. simcity ds- i bought it cause i like things having to do with building a city but this game let me down big time, i like the snes original the best. and another thing about this game, don't play it in the car it will make you motion sick (especially if you're going up or down a mountain). and the last game i want to complain about is the old mortal kombats, the controls were sloppy for a fighting game. if this game had better play controls i would enjoy it more.

Inventory | Oh boy, I've played my share of bad games and NASCAR 08 for the PS2 has to be on the list. The game is plagued by poor controls and a high difficulty level EVEN on rookie mode. It's just not very fun. EA released earlier versions of the game that were better. Nascar SimRacing for the PC is a MUCH better game than the piece of c**p NASCAR 08 is.

Inventory | I was about to say, Zombies Ate My Neighbors for the SNES, but now I think back and I kind of enjoyed it, heh. I'd say Home Alone 2: Lost in New York for SNES. It was an absolutely horrible side-scroller with awful sound effects, and stupid stuff like suitcases attack you lol. Plus not to mention..... it's Home Alone..... as a video game.

Inventory | I LOVED Secret of Evermore. Such a cool Alchemy system And for a Square US creation, it was really well done, and tied in a few really great FF references, as well. I felt that the game I hate the most is DEFINITELY Dawn of Mana. I liked absolutely nothing about that game...not the graphics, not the unweildy game play, not the weapon system, not the characters, not the voices, and not the spell system. It just sucked on all accounts. I like my Mana games to be cool. Secret of Mana is the best one, for me. No stupid ass Cacti that write journal entries, or hot houses, or making your own instruments or weapons. It was a waste of $50. And I couldn't even return the player's guide.

| Even though I loved the SaGa series, I think that Unlimited SaGa qualifys for being the worst game I have ever played before. It just had sooo much potential, then SE went way out in left field and totally effed things up by adding in random shite that makes the game pretty much impossible. Sure, its supposed to be complicated and hard for the "hardcore" gamers, but some quests are so damned impossible that it makes me wonder if Jesus really died for this game. Other then that though, I'd say I could at least tolerate most other games for at least a day, except that... ![]() | ||||||||||||

Inventory | Eh, it's a tie between some games that I think now I might just be being picky over. First, the first Fire Emblem game on the GBA. I didn't like the presences of the strategist or whatever, though I liked the graphics. I didn't like that you had to buy your stuff IN BATTLE and you couldn't go back for leveling up. I didn't like that you had limited uses for your items, particularly the weapons. Second, I don't like Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter. I don't like how you can't save very often...having to pay with a specific item or whatever to do so. I don't like how they seem to stray from the natural pattern for the previous four Breath of Fire games. It just really annoyed me. Battle system is fun, but the style doesn't suit my interests. <.<
