Koji Kondo Vs Nobuo Uematsu
So i was thinking, while listening to zelda and FF soundtrack midis and mp3s, and thought, who is the better composer?
Personally i am undecided, so i'm curious to see some of your opinions... |

I tend to prefer Nobuo Uematsu's tracks as they tend to get me more into most games I hear them in. Not to say that Koji Kondo's music is bad or anything, it's just not as connected to the games, to me anyway.
But everyone has their own favourites, and I think this is more a matter of personal taste. Either could be the better composer.

I prefer Nobuo Uematsu's songs, but think that Koji Kondo is a better composer.....
They both have songs that are connected to games that cannot be forgotten & while Uematsu's songs are lively & his Piano collection of FFs rocks, i don't get the same feeling as the one i get when i'm listening to Zelda ocarina of Time 's theme. It's just more epic. On the one hand, i cannot forget FF songs like The One-winged Angel, but on the other hand, Zelda's Lullaby & the Hyrule Fields theme are unprecedented. Although it's a tough choice, i prefer the first & i think that the latter is better. But this is a topic where most will be undecided, so... |
