i was watching G4 and they were saying tht theres a new basic psp kit u can buy. this kit has the psp and the ac adapter wich is all tht it has i think. im not sure if its out already or not but they said theyre making the new kit becasue the original kit piled up on shelves and storeowners threatened to stop carrying the psp. i believe the price for the new kit is $130.

Uhm.. I don't think so..
The only price drop I see is that it's 170$ on Gamestop right now because it's a 30$ off coupon in a weekend email ad. Well, either way. A price drop is nice. And no, it's probably not out yet. I remember hearing from S that there's going to be a remake of the PSP, that doesn't require memory sticks to be used.

...actually, $170 is the official price listing for GameStop and it's been like that since Tuesday. It was NOT announced; it happened practically at random and none of us expected it. Convenient for someone like me who was considering buying a PSP on the next paycheck.
As far as I can tell, this is a permanent price drop, not a sale.

Wow......that's good that the PSP dropped. If only the PS3 price dropped, but we'll see in about a year or so.
 I'm thinking about getting a PSP or a DS at least since there is gonna be some FF games released on both platforms, but I'm not sure which one I'll get. Thanks for the info though.

Yet another omen telling me to purchase a PSP.
Price drop A few UMDs I actually want to buy FFT remake Castlevania double-game (Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night, I think) Loco Roco My friends all recently buying PSPs However, I might hold off and wait on the *rumored* PSP remake, complete with two analog nubs.
