And for the sake of preventing this from becoming spam, could everyone give some reasons why? They don't have to be long or in-depth... just some reason to help us understand why X girl is one of your favorites.

Quistis (you didn't see that coming right? =P)

Why?: Well, she's smart, beautiful and admired by many. But then, she's still human and longs for someone. Even though Squall didn't show any interest in her, she kept her head up and just moved along pretty much. ^^ I also don't usually like blonde characters but Quistis is definitely an exception. She's got a nice personality and not one of those blonde stereotypes that we see in RPGs or animes.

Too bad Metal Gear 3 is not really an RPG (or is it?). The Boss is definitely the most badass female character I've ever known thus far. She was not portrayed as a "sex symbol" at all. It was her personality and fighting skills that really made her stand out. Plus she has a very intriguing story.

Rydia - Final Fantasy IV
That cute little girl (or a grown-up later in the game) had such a major role that I can't imagine Final Fantasy IV without her. She was there to encourage everyone whenever they felt down, inspite of the fact that she should feel more down than anyone

Selphie - Final Fantasy VIII
Selphie became my favourite female character in Final Fantasy VIII as soon as I saw her. Her friendly personallity and cute appearance didn't really reminded me of a badass character but she proved to be a strong member of the party.

Rinoa - Final Fantasy VIII
She was really cute and open hearted. Another female character with a very important role in the Final Fantasy series.

Namine - Kingdom Hearts II
Well, I've heard many people say that she sucks but I have to dissagree with that. Namine offered help to Roxas and Sora risking her own life. By the way, her personallity wasn't so much different than Kairi's

Kairi - Kingdom Hearts II
Personally I found Kairi in Kingdom Hearts II better than she used to be in Kingdom Hearts. Although she didn't do something really special, she has a really cute appearance and after all she went to search for Sora.

Tifa. She's the one i like the most of all FFs. She's the hottest one in any of the RPGs yet. I liked her fighting style with the punchs & kicks rather than her using a handheld weapon & her Limitbreak is my fav too- well, you need to be lucky to nail it & it's not as strong as Cloud's, but i like it whatsoever.

Penelo. I like her because in XII's story she's totally insignificant- it's the same if she doesn't take part anywhere. I'm using her in my party & her speed matching the daggers' on hit status effects can make a battle a lot easier. She's balanced & prettier than Ashe, so she's in.

Fran.Almost fot the same reasons as Penelo, she's a ghost in the game, but since she's the only Viera, in the party she goes. She's ranged like Balthier, but her bows are actually strong. WHen she gets a Burning bow she's got i think 63 ATK. while Balthier gets a 22 from his gun. Pathetic. At least she can actualy kill the flyers we encounter,

Rikku. The girl is just "gone wild" even from the start of X. She's a happy character, in a way like Tidus, but with a better understanding of Spira & she desn't need explenations all the time. IN X-2 she was sexier [...] & with the dressphere mode she could become very strong with certain sheres that also looked good on her.

Eowyn from LOTR: The return of the king (GBA ). In this game evey character has a unique set of abilities & features- i liked hers the most. She had features that made her have higher speed, shiled block & evasion than the rest. At Lv 35 she's the best along Legolas ( GAndalf needed a struggle to make his strong) I could go over beating the game in half the time than using Aragorn, just because she could walk at least 4 times faster. The only game where a female character- not a main one- could be stronger than the rest.

Yuna. In X, not X-2. She's hotter in that one, but her summoning ability & her Magic Power were amazingly usefull. She's use a Holy spell against Yunalesca & the battle would be as good as over. In a part, her Fira was stronger than Lulu's...THe game would be much more difficult if it weren't for her Aeons & there wouldn't even be a sequel.

Lulu. My third member of my X party. When i first saw her, i didn't know what to say. Later on i figured that i had to use her because no one else had black magic & then i started to like her- not to mention her "qualities"...Second best after Tifa.

Midna - From Twilight Princess! She was just very cute and yet her story was tragic. I reallly just enjoyed the game with her in it.

Tifa - First girl where I thought she kicked some ass in an RPG and didn't go with the usual "magic" casting role.

Agrias Oaks - Holy Knight of the Royal Guard of Lesalia, an order of knights under the direct command of the Atkascha royal family. She is the bodyguard of Princess Ovelia, and one kickass female character.

Yuffie- She was one of the most carismatic FF girl's. She was very fun, and was one of my better characters in FFVII (though she wasn't in my final party.)

(If you didn't see this one coming) Tifa- My reason... She's Tifa, enough said.

Yuna- The first FF girl to actually talk!!!

Zelda- She's always in danger, providing us for many hours of enjoyment.

I have others, but it would take me hours to put them down in order, and why.

#1. Tifa Lockheart (Final Fantasy VII)

Tifa started my downward spiral of being ashamedly attracted to video game characters. She was strong, very shapely, and had a good head on her shoulders, which is very rare for a female lead. Most female leads are helpless and go straight to the party leader for help. Tifa could more than hold her own.

#2. Lulu (Final Fantasy X)

Lulu reminds me a lot of Tifa. She's very shapely (exceeding Tifa in that department), could set me ablaze with a wiggle of her boob, and a dry wit comparative to none in the FF series. I love a good bit of sarcasm.

#3. Shion Uzuki (Xenosaga)

If it weren't for the special places that Tifa and Lulu hold in my vasa deferentia, Shion would hold the top spot here. By nature, she's a typical female lead. Helpless, searching for help... but here's the twist. In the end she really gets none. She has it right in front of her, but never sees it until the end, and ends up suffering by herself. She's a very lovable character.

#4. Elhaym Van Houten (Xenogears)

Elly is a very interesting character. The sheer depth behind it all is captivating to say the least, and the only reason she's behind Shion is that despite it all, she's not a very useful character. She's weak, her gear looks like something out of the Powerpuff Girls, and she's kinda dumb. Her loyalty to Solaris is far too strong for her own good.

#5. Ailish (Sudeki)

Nothing really more to say here than she has giant boobs. That and she has a staff that adds an FPS element to an Action-RPG. Sa-weet.

In no particular order:

Rydia (FFIV) --- She was my favorite character from Final Fantasy IV. She was an awesome character and one of the most useful in my opinion. She could both summon and use black magic which is different from most games where they can use white magic and summon. I liked her personallity also.

Garnet (FFIX) --- She was a great character. I probably used her the most in Final Fantasy IX. She was a really good white mage and summoner. I think that her summons were awesome. I really liked Ark. I also thought that her backround was pretty interesting.

Noa (Legend of Legaia) --- I liked Noa a lot. She was my favorite character from Legend of Legaia. She was really funny and clueless most of the time which is expected from living in a cave for years. I liked how she was always searching for her parents. She was also my strongest character. She could use the most attacks and was the fastest. I wish more people saw her greatness.

Kos-mos (Xenosaga) --- Kos-mos I would consider a girl was an awesome character. She was my favorite Xenosaga character and one of my all time favorite character from any game. She was super powerful and the most useful character in Xenosaga. She had awesome weapons and some of the best magic for attacking and boosting her own power. I think I used her whenever possible.

Yuna (FFX/X-2) --- Yuna was a good character. I liked the story behind her and I liked her Aeons. I also liked her sphere grid part. She had great white magic and also she had the best magic stat. I always had her have Ultima. She was my favorite character for Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2.

Riku (FFX/X-2) --- Riku was a very funny character. I also thought that she was very useful in stealing and using items. I always used her in my party whenever possible along with Yuna. She was really useful in the game.

I think that that is about it. I think that girls play a big part in RPGs. In most games a girl is my favorite character and the most useful character. They are usually the magic users and I like using magic.
