Megaman.

Who here has played any of the Megaman games?
This is honestly my favorite series other then FF.
I started playing Megaman when I was four, when I picked up MegamanX1.
I've loved it ever since.

Anyone else here like Megaman?

I'm a fan of the series...or at least I was. I think after MMX5 they should have stopped. After that it just got really crappy and they tried to put it into 3D. MM plus 3D equal a bad combination. I did enjoy Megaman Legends One and Two, as well as MMX Command Mission. But yeah, as I said, I liked every MMX game up to MMX5.

yeah, actually Inafune WANTED to stop the X series at 5.
But people loved it so much he was forced to continue.

I've played the X series from 1 to 6. It's a cool game i enjoy playing it sometimes!

I have to say i have enjoyed my time with the MegaMan series though i haven't really played that many.

The only ones i have completed are X, X 2, and X 3 for the SNES, Mega Man for the Gameboy (i think its the port of the original NES title but i'm not sure), Mega Man 7, and Mega Man 8. I own all the EXE titles and Zero 1, though i haven't beaten them.

To me the original Mega Man X stands as one of my all time favorite games, it's classic.

X1-3 are really the best megaman games out.
I have High expectations for Megaman Starforce when it comes out though.
ZX Was a really fun game, took all the aspects from X and Zero and put them together and added some nice features.

Megaman 1 for the gameboy (The Wily Wars) Wasn't really a port.
It took bosses from megaman 1-3 I think.

MegaMan games are great because they come in a whole bunch of styles I Like the X versions but i really like playing legend.

*The game that was set in the futuristic world.i thought this was an astro boy sequel because they have similar arm and leg protectors but turns out mega man was even better than any cyborgs or humanoids i know!

*Yeah ive played almost all of the megaman classics,i started playing young too maybe 8 or nine and got hooked to it ever since.id like to make a few comments and opinions on the series...

*Megaman 1-the first and legendary megaman...ahh those were the days,i played it but i didnt appreciate it much because this was not my first megaman,the graphics were a bit disappointing but the gameplay was all that matered to me.although if i wanted a shoot em up game id prefer contra over the first megaman.its a good game thats all.

*Megaman 4-now i really enjoyed playing this game,in this series megamans items and abilities had an upgrade and he was able to execute new moves.i enjoyed playing it with my friends back then.

*Megaman 6-now this was an addicting game to me,i even woke up in the middle of the night just to play it.i cant sleep,because the only thing that was in my mind was figuring out how to get through gyro mans stage.i had so much fun playing it!

*Megaman 7-ahhh the game that had me travelling to an old computer shop just to play it.by this time my nintendo was busted and i had to go down town just to play it,see what the power of games can do to a kid.but all is well i had fun pounding the enemies and bosses with the new armour mega man was upgraded to.i think it was called S-pow and the new jet suit that enable him to fly anywhere with a limited time of fuel.

*Megaman x-ahah now we move on to the new generation of megaman games!the X version!when this game came out i was loco!i had to play it real bad,in my mind i only thought of how to defeat the villains,what skills to use and where the secret capsules are hidden.man this was really a game for skilled players,luckily i am one of them ...*Hadouken*

*Megaman x2-now in this mega man there are lots of bad ass reploids such as flame stag,but with the flaming uppercut move,one hit does it all!haha i love how megaman is connected somehow with ryu's fighting moves,well they are both from capcom and

*Megaman x4-oh man the game has been taken to a whole new level of futuristic.even the bosses are way cooler than the heroes namely colonel and double,i like double because hes a master in deception plus he has cool beam blades on his arms.in this series you can choose zero as your character,hes cool cyborg with a beam sword,i even compare him to Sepiroth,they have some things in common.anyway this game is truly challenging intellectually and game wise(pushing of buttons).

*Megamanx7-this is the most rescent megaman game ive played,in this series you can choose between three characters.i forgot the new guys name.well mega man has new cool armors to upgrade as we know from the recent x series.his buster is even more powerful.zeros can use different weaponry this time and this is what makes this game cool,he can even use Sigma's sword.and he has a cool fan blade.awesome!

*Megaman legends-this is a different type of megaman,this is th first full 3d game of the series.and you know what....i really really love it!you can upgrade megamans buster bu putting chips and parts to it and you can craft his armor from artifacts he finds in the ruins!but what really sucked me in is simply the adventure!its so fun to play!

my first mega man was the original Mega Man IV - rented from Blockbuster when i was like 8 (c. 1992). these games have really stood the test of time. every one is EXTREMELY challenging i've found. simple platform maneuvers like jumping between platforms can be a real bitch in most mega man games. but once you get the feel down there's no turning back. maybe it's that dark blue-on-light-blue color scheme that is so infinitely appealing to the eye, or that fact that when you're a kid and you put any tube on your arm (massive wrapping paper tube for example) nothing feels better than pretending your mega man shoot tiny energy balls at you enemies. ahhh, i lament for the sleepwalking life of a child...

but i digress. the SNES mega man games are all incredible too. i only played the first couple though. in fact, thinking back, i don't think i've ever completely beaten an entire single mega man game. man, maybe i should get on that...

*oh yeah i forgot a mega man game i used to love playing back when i was in high school,it was megaman power battle.this is the first mega man i saw that was used in an arcade in malls.usually mega man takes a long time to play and has some hard puzzles to solve,but they still make it a token based game!that sucks!

*well i love this game,you can choose from three different characters,mainly mega man,break man and stall!personnaly i love to use megaman because i idolize him,but sometimes i use break man just because hes cool looking!stall is a villain in mega man 8,i dont know why he became a maverick hunter but its alright,he rocks too.

*the game basically lets you challenge the bosses of mega man 1 up to mega man 8 and after defeating them you battle dr. willys lacky's which are pretty strong too.ive never beaten the game becuase it took tokens to play it and it was really expensive back then.but i did manage to reach wily but he kicked my butt with his ufo inspired wily machine!hehehe i love his inventions!

*in this game each enemy has weaknesses of elements or opposites,normally its familiar with the mega man series but in this game you only have to be skilled at dodging and using your buster,use strategy and familiarize the bosses patterns of attack,then you can bust him up!

*another factor i like about the game is its the first mega man game ive heard with a voice,well that was soon developed when mega man x4 came out with the fmv's but this was the first for me.i love it and if i had the console to play it at home i would beat it over and over again!
