Zelda MMORPG in the alpha!

heard from a friend over at Shinra that Nintendo are going to make The Legend of Zelda into a MMORPG for the Wii! Perhaps maybe a PC release after, but who knows?
From what I've heard, the game will;

'retain the fun and puzzles of the zelda series while introducing co-operative online elements'

'focus on gaming elements more than grinding... its meant for teenagers and adults that don't have 90+ hours to spend playing but will feature hundreds of hours of inital world content'

'offer offline content that will be playable on the DS'

What you guys think on this?

it won't happen...its probably another hoax...

i remember the whole ordeal with the apparent "pokemon online"
people do it all the time.

how would LoZ online work? a hell of a lot of links running around the world?

ganon would be overrun and he will sit in a corner and cry

the zelda franchise has always stuck to a story of one specific character, zelda can't be compared to the likes of final fantasy, because final fantasy has run through several stories with different characters in all, so it was easy to make an online follow up.

i dunno, i am calling its bluff, flame all you want.

dude this has to be a Hoax because if they released it as a MMORPG on the PC then thats basically Nintendo helping Microsoft

Other bits i can believe it might be online with the Wii but it wont be a MMORPG because its running on a gamecube disk and the disk is WAY too small to hold the data for a MMORPG...

It wasn't advertising, it was quoting a source. In those instances, a link is actually necessary to the topic, so members can read the original information.

On a more "on the topic" note, I'm also willing to bet this is a hoax. I mean, seriously... Zelda Online? I can't see it happening. Four Swords was cool because of the playability, but I doubt that could be transformed into an MMORPG -- especially considering Zelda games don't even have traditional levelling.

hahaha whatever - i wouldn't even call this a hoax. just more wishful thinking from the online message board communities. now if someone searches for "zelda MMORPG" links to two separate forums will come up making it even more 'real' feeling.

this will never happen. get over it.

Actually, there is a free Zelda MMO around. It's called Zelda Gaming Online. Or something like that. You get to kill other Links. =D

Not quite an official MMO, but an MMO nonetheless. =P

Are most people thinking of grinding MMORPG when I say that word? Where you spent countless hours lvl'ing up and getting items for that new amour at lvl 97?
Like that original post said, It will 'retain the fun and puzzles of the Zelda series while introducing co-operative online elements', so its not going to be constant lvling, more along the lines of puzzle solving and the shit. So it can quite be possible, don't rule out a game just because it doesn't have the material needed to be like WoW, Everquest and all the other countless MMORPG's out there.
And this is still in the alpha so I'm told so a lot of change can/will be made if this goes out.

Hmmm...honestly it sounds like a hoax, but it sounds really good if its true about Zelda becoming an MMORPG. However, I wonder how will they be able to pull it off and stuff like that but this is gotta be false.

It has to be A hoax I looked on Nintendo website and i got no information o the Twilight Princess section I also looked on Gamespot and i got nothing there either and these are two of the biggest game sources and theres nothing so im guessing nothing plus my common sense tells me its fake

Other than it would be nice to have a MMORPG in a Zelda world.
