I know this is a MMORPG, not a console game, but I thought it deserved a thread seeing as I'm not the only one playing it.

You can tell just by looking at me what my stats are, but what about the rest of you? Which party type do you like the best? Which kind of character do you like the best? What's your favorite attack? Your favorite area to train in?

Right now, obviously, I'm a Shaman. I'm keeping to the Desert Beach area for now, usually on Pearl server. I just got my guy to lvl 14. People rarely want to party with me, and the few who do don't benefit me (I end up getting normal EXP anyway). I don't have many attacks yet so I'll save my answer on that for later.

How about you guys (Meaning Cheesevixen and Melanie, seeing your avas)?

I've never heard of this MMORPG before. Thanks for the link.Perhaps I should try and play it and see if I like it or not. Are the graphics good along with the gameplay?

Yeah, it's really cool.

I only downloaded the launcher, not the full version. Either way you go, after you get the launcher started up, all the files it uploads takes a while, and there have been many complaints about it, but once you get it over with and install the patch, everything should be smooth sailing. It's different than any other MMORPG I've played, although simmilar to Maple Story in some way, it's more 3D than MS, but you can't change the camera view (which doesn't matter unless you killed a monster behind the tree and can't find the gold). The enemies are right out in the open, and don't attack unless they're hostile.

Oh, and you can't play the game using anything other than Internet Explorer 6.0. It doesn't work on Firefox or any other browser type, and it's not compatible with IE7. I'm sure once the game is no longer beta, they'll find ways to make it more compatible for other users.

Uhm.. it does work on Firefox because you play the game using the client, not the browser. You just need the browser to launch the game. You can use any browser you want. I use firefox just fine. Just need it to click 'Game Start' and that's it. Then again, I downloaded the full version, heh.

I say the amount of patches to download rivals that of FFXI. >.>;
It's a huge ass amount.

The gameplay is so freaking similar to Ragnarok Online it isn't even funny.

I don't play Ragnarok, so I wouldn't know. I only had to fix one patch and that was it, just upload one new file and switch it in with the bad file, really easy and only took a few seconds to do. I didn't do any other patch. I think this was for the exceptional error that kept coming up. I haven't had any problems with it since then.

I don't think ONE patch is a "huge ass amount".

And a lot of people were complaining because they couldn't launch from Firefox. It looked like no one had IE at all and didn't know what to do, because you don't even play it in a browser window like you do on Runescape.

Did you even read anything it told you? There was a lot of vital information of how to play. I recommend you don't skip it, and read every freaking word it tells you. That's how I discovered that the gameplay is so similar to Ragnarok Online.
