This game is such a letdown to me, has anyone played it and what do you think to it?

When I fought Sephiroth with Cloud, I thought it would be an awsome fight but boy, I was wrong. The gameplay is so slow and usually jerky, it makes it very UN-fun to play. It's basically a fighting game with the ability to move around the enviroment and use weapons(sort of like Power Stone), sounds good doesnt it? Nah it's not good at all, it's generally a crap game and I need other people's opinions on this if you've actually played it?

Ok, it's not ALL bad but it's a huge letdown for me personally.

I would have to agree....and also disagree.

Yeah, the freestyle, kick everyones ass, mode sucks major balls. I'd rather play Soul Caliber or any other fighting game over this anyday but...

The RPG mode in this game was extremely fun in my opinion. I felt this was more what the game was supposed to be (although it was meant to actually only be a side game kinda thing). I spent many hours, wasting away at the mercy of this small delight. Other than that, you're right, the game offers little in the sense of revolutionary.

Yea i thought the game was DECENT..definitely not what i hoped for though and certainly not as good as DreamFactory's past fighting titles (Tobal 2 was a killer game). This is really related to the discussions in both "RPG Fighting Game" (my original ) thread and the new "tekken final fantasy" whatever (the blatant rip off )

I haven't played that game in years. I remember enjoying it, back in the day I played it despite it's flaws in the graphics and gameplay areas. I played it for the fact that it was a fighting game in which you could play as Final Fantasy VII characters.
