Vagrant Story

Has anyone played vagrant story? I have gotten a good deal into the game then i took such a long break from it that i have no idea what the hell i'm doing. Looks like i gotta start over. It's definitely a great game with awesome graphics (some of the best on the PS) and a really cool real time battle system. Some of the gameplay was a little bit confusing to me when i first started the game though..plus you spend like the whole game in underground caves so that can get old

Note that the Vagrant Story team is the same team reponsible for FF Tactics as well as the upcoming FF XII..

I disliked this game a lot. It was so boring.

The main character pissed me off a lot, and the story, I was found to be lame.

I didn't like the game at all, but my brother loved it.

Um..honestly I got to agree with Chez on this one.This game never really caught my eye as well. It doesn't look bad, but its something I wouldn't want to play.

I've gotten that from SO many people, I can definitely see your reasoning though. I think what attracted me to the game was it's REALLY deep gameplay elements. It's battle system was a lot of fun i thought and really unique at that

I actually just got a Perfect File in the game and one I plan on posting sometime today probably. Or at least all the pertinent information through the game that I found.

I loved the game. People tend to either love it or hate it, and generally it's for reasons of difficulty if they don't like it. This game is not easy. But if you are patient with it and give it time, the story is very intense and complex just like FF Tactics is and the variety in the game in form of weapons/attacks/abilities is off the charts incredible.

Alot of challenges to be had even in replay games. The only thing that's really tough is getting all 32 titles, 3 of them are ridiculously difficult. However it's a game that few can perfect and it's a big challenge to any die hard fan of good action/rpg's.

I'm with Cobain, I absolutely love it. I've done it about 4 times all the way through. I am nowhere near getting all of the special achievements though. But to be honest I haven't tried that hard, I might do it someday.

Yea i'm only a good..20-30 hrs into the game but i went for soo long without playing it. I'm kinda confused to what the hell i'm supposed to be doing. I think i'm going to have to restart it sometime soon. Still gotta finish Till the End of Time though The challenge factor was definitely a plus for me though..imo most rpgs today are too much on the easy side. Some of those boss battles really got frustrating. And yea..the Vagrant Story/FF Tactics team are great storytellers in my opinion. I think they are going to do great things with FF XII as well.

And since the Tactics team is one of the few teams still at Square, I think it'd be awesome to see a sequel or something for a nextgen console. Though i'm not sure if the story even really opens the possibility? You guys would know more so than me.

Vagrant Story, a great game, the difficulty was very high IMO but it made the game a lot more challenging and provided a huge accomplishment feeling once you've finished the game. It's nice to play a RPG game with a little difference involved. A great game.

I never found Vagrant Story hard at all. I got the small damascus dagger called the Soul Kiss near where you fight the Golem. Even though it was a small weapon with an obvious limited range, it would ruin the shit out of almost everything.

The only thing troubling was the last boss (I won't reveal the name) when it cast 'Bloody Sin'.

By the way I am getting the Blood Sin tattooed on my back just as Sydney has it.

Seriously I never spent much time customising weapons at all. I have one blunt, one edged and one piercing, a few rare weapons I found and three blades (in order to make the ultimate weapon, but I just never got around to it)

That's like the most popular tatoo that no one even has in HISTORY!!! I'm gonna get it to, or really want to, but it's like...the game got so little attention that barely anyone would even know what it means.

But I want it to.
