And check this out. (That looks hard)http://www.gamespot.com/nes/action/a...dXxikzKo5bIKug

Um are you talking about the FF remakes or just games in general?
I know for sure that the FF remakes were made easier. As for games in general I guess that's an oppinion question. I'd say older games are harder, really when I think about it I haven't played any difficult new games in a while. Old school shooter games were always hard. I played gradius 3 with all the full power up and 29 lives cheats and it was still hard. As for the movie it was funny. Reall the boss didn't look that hard; if that's all the boss's stratagy was then I'm pretty sure I could have beaten him in less than a decades time.

Retro games are harder than most new games. Some of them are literally impossible such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, damn that game is so hard.
Games these days are more enjoyable as there not as hard as the older ones. Dont get me wrong, retro games are so awesome! |

***Absolutely!***
Retro games are harder to play man...the simpliest reason is...SAVE!you cannot save on the games, exept Final Fantasy,Once you get into a hard spot and get killed its back to the title screen.well thats the only reason, other than that the controls are easy and new games have more detailed and have more awesome graphics! ***HALLER BACK!!!*** |

old games r harder, look at mario on sness that game was difficult to complete.. nah, i can complete it in less then 30min for sure, but to really complete the game( wich are 96 levels) is very hard,...
The special starcup (not the normal starcup) is hard... the secret in on the first bridgelevel is hard.... the new mario games are completed in notime... i liked it bettter in 2D and completing by running from the left to the right, not walking 'round in levels like a chicken without a head -_- |

Are the older games more difficult? Without question!
Why is that, do you think? Back then, graphics were much simpler and so gamers had much less demand on the graphics, which meant that the gameplay had to be much better. These days we have too many graphics whores that buy and play games for nothing more than the pretty pictures. Yes, I'm very biased in my opinion on the matter. Try playing Battletoads or Contra or Ghouls and Ghosts for the NES. All of those games are incredibly difficult without codes and cheats. Beatable? Yes. After all, things are patterned, so once you learn the patterns you can win. But, that being said, I doubt any of you could pass the first level of Ghouls and Ghosts before getting your first continue. And go try to beat Zelda II on the NES. Hard ****ing game, folks. They just don't make them like they used to. BRING BACK THE 8-BIT GLORY DAYS!!!
