Devil May Cry 3, probably the greatest action adventure game to grace the PS2.
You're a half human, half demon named Dante and you get involved in your demented brother's plan to open up the demon world. I know some of you are tired of that "let's go kill some demons" game genre, but this game is a pure masterpiece, its got a really great story, awesome art and style, and fantastic gameplay. Plus, the Special Edition is only $20 Greatest Hits! Anyone here played it? If so, give us details on how you play: progress, difficulty, style, actions, items, secrets, etc.

on a completely related note, devil may cry 3 is the best game on the ps2 and every other game in the world sucks. lets discuss!

firstly dont double post just edit what you have writen. and secondlt i agree with you that devil may cry 3 is awesome and is really a great game but what do you think is better the first or the 3rd (2nd was shit!)

DMC 3 : Speical Edition.I used both Dante and Vergil play Dante must Die wahaha !! I played it without any cheats. It's the hardest difficullity other than Heaven Or Hell.But for me,it's really easy when you get used with the controls.
I never used items before and using Dante I'm a killing machine with Gunslinger.

i really like both of them, but i have to say i love the 3rd better than the 1st. it makes so many improvements, the only reason i would like DMC1 better is because of nostalgic factor, that it came first and what not, but i inherently like DMC3 much better.
as for my progress, ive completely beaten every single difficulty (except for easy) and ive maxed out all my devil arms, guns, actions, and blue/purple orbs on the special edition. right now, im workin on my royal guard skills and i gotta max out all my items...

damn right i prefered the 3rd as well it was more corney but better game play and i did dante must die as well. btw on the first one has any one got family picture and what does it do?
