Teachnicaly, that's considered to be an FF game................oh well.....
My favorites are Diablo 2, Arc the Lad, and Unreal Tournament.

Chrono series. Apart from FF this series had so much depth to it and the characters were amazing. I loved the battle setup on both games. Another thing I liked was that you got to keep your levels after you beat the game...

KH is great, Dragon Quest 8, and Golden Sun but it is hard
and the graphs suck. It has a good story line .

Kingdom Hearts was my favourite behind ff, and when KHII finally gets here may be again. But for now it's The Shadow Hearts series, fantastic series.

Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic is a fantastic rpg. On my list of favourite rpg's that one is right behind Final Fantasy VIII. The second one in the series was quite good as well, but the first one was just pure magic.

My favorite Rpg's apart from FF's is either The Legend of Dragoon
or any Kingdom Hearts game. Mario RPG was also a lot of fun but i never finished it..... i've been meaning to hook up my snes to play it but i always seem to forget.

Suikoden II. The game is, in almost every single way, perfect. The storyline is simple but throws in enough twists so it is not completely predictable, the characters are nicely developed considering the size of the cast, and Luca Blight is one of my favorite villians in video games today. Not to mention it gives you enough side things to do so you aren't always stuck on the story. Sure, they aren't side quests but they are small games to keep you occupied for a little bit. Also, I enjoy the challenge that it holds. Not too difficult, but not too breezy.
