Fire Emblem

After I played the first Fire Emblem on the GBA, I was amazed by the game's concept. I loved the way they combined strategy with RPG elements. I was wondering if anyone has played the Sacred Stones or Path of Radiance, and would you recommend it? I mean, are they a lot better, or pretty much the same?

Also, tell me your favorite character of the series. I've only played Sword of Flame, but I LOVED Sain...he was just so...so...cool! Eliwood himself wasn't too shabby either, he certainly knew how to kick ass himself.

I have played the Fire Emblem series, but I have beaten none of the games. I was introduced to Fire Emblem shortly after I have played as Marth and Roy for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Mêlée. Fire Emblem Gaiden was my first Fire Emblem game. Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu (a.k.a. Genealogy of the Holy War) is my favorite Fire Emblem game. Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones is a beginner's Fire Emblem game.

My favorite Fire Emblem character (and ultimately my favorite Nintendo character) is Ira (a.k.a. Ayra) from Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu. She was the first of the Swordmaster class, which is my favorite Fire Emblem class. My favorite character from Fire Emblem: Blazing Sword is Lyndis.

I have played three games from the Fire Emblem series. I have played Path of Radiance, Sacred Stones, and the one with Lyn, Hector, and Eliwood. Path of Radiance is okay, it has good graphics and the plot is okay too. I didn't like Sacred Stones as much, the plot wasn't very good.

My favorite character (personality) is Serra, and my favorite character (usefullness) is Canas.

Canas was kick-ass! He was okay as a Druid, but when he turned into a Shaman...WOW!! I remember I pumped him up so he wouldn't be such a...nerd...

I lost him in the final battle though So, I never found out what happened to him. Uhm, I want people to compare Sword of Flame (Eliwood, Lyn and Hector) to the Sacred Stones, just so that I know what I should expect. I played it for about 5 min, and it didn't seem all that different...are there any?

Canas dies in a snowstorm along with his wife. They were trying to stop it. He also has a daughter.

In Sacred Stones, when you could evolve a character, you could change them into TWO different classes depending on your choice. A knight could become a Great Knight or a General, for example. Also, some classes use different weapons than in Sword of Flame. An example, Generals can use lances, axes, and swords, unlike in Sword of Flame, where they can only use lances and axes.

There are also "trainee" characters such as Ewan. They start off really weak and as a "trainee" class. Ewan starts as a Pupil. When he gets to Level 10, the next battle you go into, he will evolve automanically, becoming either a mage of shaman. Then he acts like a normal character, so that you can evolve him again when he is Lv.10-Lv.20. If he is a mage, he can become a Sage or a Mage Knight, and if he was a Shaman, his choices are Summoner and Druid. There are three characters like that. They are Ross, Ewan, and Amelia.

I'v beaten the two for GBA. An awesome series. If I had a gamecube, I'd get Path of Radiance. There should be a FE-FFt crossover or something. I'd definately buy it. XD

Favorite character is Hector. He is such a friggin tank

If you liked the first American released FE then you will like the second even more. There's a lot more to do especialy after you beat the game. But basically it's just like any other FE.

i played fire emblem 6 through 9. they were all fun for me but my favorite of them is fire emblem 6 sealed sword. And my favorite character would be roy first then joshua.

Path of radiance and sacred stones are both really good games but i liked sacred stones better though casue of the better and more classes and joshua's in it

Iv'e only played sacred stones, and i lost two pegasus knights in the same battle

Sacred stones was my favorite FE game.u can fight monsters,u can use a glitch to get monster weapons(getting formorrtisses weapons is cool),and the tower of valni and logdou ruins were really cool.You can also get Lyon as a necromancer. to get lyon u need to beat logdou ruins 3 times in a row after u finish the game. he is the best character.

I've recently cleared Path of Radiance! I was surprised to see that I had about 40 hours of gameplay in a Fire Emblem game. I liked the game, but it was rather standard. Compared to Eliwood, Ike was da bomb! I had him at Lv. 20 in Chapter 9

Spoiler: After he turned in to a Lord, he looked WAY cooler, and I could finally use him again so I wouldn't waste EXP.

I always put Ike on the frontline, just because he's so cool. What really started to annoy me were the animations...After Chapter 12 I was like: "Alright...I get the damn point!" It would be nice to see the animations like the GBA versions, nice and simple...but cool

My favorite character of PoR was without a doubt Ike. A good second place would be reserved for Kieran. He was the first Paladin I trained along with Oscar. They were a very cool team

Yup, Path of Radiance was a good game. The only huge dissappointment was that I didn't hear the Fire Emblem Theme until the very end, after the last battle :S That really sucked. And they don't encourage you to play it through again...
