anyone played devil may cry?

i was wondering weather anyone has played devil may cry1,2 or3 and if so what did you think and what do you think is the best. personally my fav was 1 because 2 sucked and 3 was to corney but the game play was awesome.

Is it an rpg or something?? I like fighting an rpg...so you have to more specific^^.

I've only played the first one. I liked it. My friend kept telling me I should play it so I did. It was HARD at first, cuz I didn't do the easy auto mode first, I just went regular. But yeah I enjoyed it. It wasn't too difficult on normal. I didn't play it through any other times though.

I've not yet played 2 or 3, but I most likely will.

And cheese, it's pretty much an action type game. Your dude is running around gunning down and slashing up things.

I only played the third one and I love it.
I love the game play, going through the different modes is a blast and it doesn't get old.
I personally like Dante's personality in this one, it cracks me up, but I understand that he is more serious in the first one, and dead serious in the second one, right?.

I've played 2 and 3.

Let's just say I disliked 2 so much that I quit playing it a few levels in. Talk about ****ing boring...

I like 3, though. And I like it a lot. Lesee, shall we?

Gameplay was pretty good. The controls were easy.
Dante was kind of a douche, short-fused, impatient, grumpy, basically stupid.
Graphics were amazing. They sure made Dante's...uhm...coat...look really nice, eh?

Storylines were slightly rushed. Dialog was a bit iffy. Loads of it could've been worded better. Puzzles were fun... Meh.

I like DMC3. Dislike DMC2. Boourns. DMC1 is definately a game I will NOT be looking out for.

I think I own Devil May Cry, the original. I played it for a whole ten minutes and absolutely hated it. I say "I think I own..." because I actually do not know if I have sold it or not. It may have just disappeared.

devil may cry is an action adveture (kind of like god of war but it came first and is much better)
and i also thuoght the second one sucked and the first was a bit to difficult normally but the i did everything on it anyway LOL. and dante is a funny 3 is a bit funny but to corney for me but anyway thanks for the responces guys keep them coming.

I own the second one. I have never played the third even though I want to. I did also think that it was corny to. It was also kinda confusing. They had alot of usless boss fights to.

yer DMC 2 was a bit... well gerenerally crap and ever crapper when compaired to 1st and third kinyoto play those to before you make yuor judgements pn the hole series;.

I've only played the 3rd one. It's not my type of game it seems, I played it for a couple hours but just didn't like it. It kinda bored me, and I thought it just was the same thing over and over.

ive played all three, i say 3 is supreme even though in 1 you get sparda blade.You can get codes for 3 that let you become in state of sparda devil trigger for ever and nelo angelo for vergil along with ton of diffrent costumes.

I absolutely agree. He was kinda supposed to be more obnoxious in this last game, as it is a prequel and tells the story of his younger days.

Ahhh! you're missing out! DMC1 was excellent. DMC2 was an absolute disgrace to the series, I felt. It's pretty cheap by now though (DMC1) so you might want to check it out as a greatest hits. Dante is a bit cooler in the first one, because he's older.

It's probably one of the few hack-n-slash, kill everything with a big sword games that I really enjoy. I especially liked the difficulty of DMC1, and the original DMC3. Not much had ever really challenged me before that. Of course, that may just mean I suck at games

I'd have to agree with this guy above, 1 and 3 are great. I liked 1 especially because they didn't try as hard as they did on 2, which failed miserably. The only thing lacking in this series is a more defined and deeper story. I'd have to say it's one of the most cliche and boring stories ever, but the gameplay kept me going. (Though I did like where they were going with 1) but after that, they started tacking on more crap to Dante's story and it all just seemed overwhelming and stupid.

Oh and, DMC3 is coming out for the PC.. Today.
