Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know what you're thinking, Pokemon is for little kids, this and that, blablabla. But the fact is, the games just keep coming and they keep existing. And since there is no room dedicated to these foul monsters, I made one.

Yes, welcome to the PokéMon Room!!

We'll be talking about the game, not the movie, not the tv-shows or all that stuff. I'm still playing Pokemon on my emulator and I even have Gold on my Gameboy...<Chuckle> The game is still popular, and since Leaf Green and Fire Red have been released I'm hooked. And even the fans like the fact the original Red and Blue have been remade, with color, and better graphics.....kinda like FF Origins for us. Anyway, if you have anything to say about the games, you're at the right spot, but if ya can't think of anything stick with this:

What is your favorite Pokémon, and why?

I've never really thought of the games as being just for kids. The cartoons, toys, cards, most everything else is, but the games are of the type that has a universal audience. I normally catch a lot of crap for talking about it like that, but meh, I don't really care. They're still good games.

Personally, I've been playing the games since they came out in America, although I haven't gotten any of their lastest games. I personally own red, silver, gold, saphire, stadium and Collosseum. I'm kind of getting tired of them using the same formula with their main games, but I keep playing the older ones.

Now , favorite Pokemon, that'd be Entei. Catching him was the greatest challenge out of any of them, but after I got him, he's gotten me out of more jams than any other. And on Collosseum, he completely dominates the field, or at least mine does.

My favorite Pokemon is actually Sandslash. It's just incredibly reliable. It's strong, it has a high defence, and he looks cool. He's also available very soon, making him an even more trusting companion.

I dunno, the games were awesome when they first came out, I spend countless hours on them. It was the biggest thing since sliced bread in Grade 6.. haha... Oh well.

I own Red and Blue... I wasn't really interested in buying any of the others.... Though I think my brother bought Pokemon Snap... I rented it once and beat it in like 10 seconds... so I dunno... Maybe I do own it and have just never played my copy? Weird.

But yeah... The games are amazing... My favourite pokemon? That's kinda hard to choose.

I like Eevee just 'cause it's so adorable! I never changed it into anything... go me.

As for strongest..? I dunno... Diglet and Squirtle are pretty awesome. I always chose Squirtle at the very start of the game... It kicks Brock's ass! Kinda hard when you get to Misty though...

I don't feel like the games are so for kids. They are very good RPGs in that matter. Actually, I bought the game even before I heard it, before the craze started. Why? Because I love RPGs, that's why. I still own the Red and Blue, the Yellow, the Gold, and the Ruby. And, while I don't play them that much anymore, they're still fun.

I must say my favorite Pokemon is Bulbasaur and its evolutions. While he begins slow (his first Grass attack is at level 12 or so), he grows up to be reliable in the end. Leech Seed was a lifesaver, and coupled with Toxic was a menace. He can also learn Earthquake, and his evolution is the first of the primary Pokemon to achieve. The newer versions hindered his potential, but in the first games he's a menace.

In particular, I'm inclined towards the Pokemon with unusual type combinations, those that are rare and yet effective. While they can have a super-weakness and are less effective than a pure one-type or a dual-snychronizing types Pokemon, it compenses with greater flexibility in attacks.

Yeah afterplaying the game i got around to liking chancey. if you actually take time to train it, its defence is unsurpassed, and if you combine that with bide and its recovery abilities is a decent strategy. you have a tank. believe me.

If not give me an exploding snorlax

Haven't heard anything about these games in ages. I think I was the only 20 year old guy out in a forest logging who'd play pokemon games on his gameboy at night. While everyone else was loosing their money playing poker I was having a good time into the wee hours of the morning.

Here I go again: I specialise in Ground and Fire Types, and to prevent my ass getting kicked by Water Types, I always have a Electric type with a high defence to back me up. The Basics I had to clear the game were:

Sandslash - Ground
Marowak - Ground
Ninetales - Fire
Charizard - Fire/Flying
Persian - Normal/Dark
Raichu - Electric

After that I focused myself on getting stronger Pokemon, like Magmar, Rapidash, Camerupt, Rhydon etc.

ehem... welll... ummm...

A good team for Pokemon Crystal goes as follow. Mind you i never use legendary types since they are cheeze factories for damage.

1.Blissy or Everlasting Spawn of Satan(normal). a defensive tank. no other creature in the game can touch its defence.
softboiled to recover.
bide to fight back double the damage dealt.
phycic for an easy to use special attack.
either minimize to increase evasiveness and make a defensive beast untouchable (prefferred). curse to boost defence and attack. so what if curse lowers speed. blissy is slow anyway
give the monster leftovers

2.Skarmory (Steel Flying)- it only has 2 weaknesses and is resistant to 11other types. that is coupled with its high defence and decent attack it brings total asswoop time.
Curse is a must, boost attack and defence, then crush all and walk away with barely a scratch.
Drillpeck... here comes the pain. massive dammage if you maximise attack with curse.
Safeguard to avoid status changes
Agility to fix the low speed from using curse, or rest to heal yourself when this steel bird of hell is hurt pretty bad.

3. Tyrannitar (Dark Rock)- a physical powerhouse, with ok defence.
Earthquake- just to bring the pain
Crunch- tired of stomping the ground have a bite to eat. more pain for the enemy dark style
Thunder, thunderpunch or thunderbolt (preferably thunderbolt). drive off those pesky water types
ancientpower. a alright rock move with the secondary effect of boosting all stats. making a strong character even more lethal

4. Espeon(Phycic)- the special sweeper.effective but up against a dark type it spells trouble.
Phycic- to hurt, special style
Morning sun- heal when hurt
Growth- how do you make a specialist better. boost special attack
baton pass: when the road gets too tough... run and pass on the effects of growth to your next character

5. Misdreavus (ghost)- when in doubt. cheat. i love this phycic proof ghost

Perish Song- three moves and you are both dead
Mean Look- forces your opponent in the game long enough to hear the final perish song and its demise. and if you switch out before the final turn comes around, your opponent still has to stay in the battle and die from perish song, because of some strange glitch in the game.hahahaha cheating is great.
Pain spit- when health gets to low and your enemies is pretty high. make it equal.
destiny bond- when your time is almost up take your opponent with you

6. Machamp: High special defence and a good movelist for knocking around the two new types.
crosschop. a devastating move
light screen- give it even more special defence and shrug off those pesky phycics. even two mewtwo phycics are nothing
Earthquake- good damage
rockslide for flyers (prefferred)
...0r fire blast for the occasional scarmory and grass types

I have loved playing the Pokemon games for a while now. I dislike the television show, I think it's quite childish, I used to watch it when I was younger but got sick of it. I enjoy the games, I haven't played Pokemon for a while but I'll probably get around to it again someday. If I start playing one, I'll get addicted to it.

I really like fire type monsters like Ifrit but he's not a pokemon

*Me myself would choose rage and fire breath!these are my trump cards!YEAH!but naturally the water type pokemon would kick my butt!hehe but not to worry with my water crystal=adds 50% defense to water attacks!Nothing could beat moi!MMMWWWHAHAHA

My favorite Pokemon is Sandslash and I always admired his Slash attack Sandslash has a high attack, and that combined with the high critical hit-ratio, makes it an excellent move in a pinch.....if you're lucky. Another one of his moves I very much prefer is his Earthquake attack, he doesn't actually learn it, but I always teach him that to annihilate any of my foolish Rock-type opponents!!!
