Mega Man and Mega Man X Remade for PSP

I stumbled at this story a few weeks ago but now its officially confirmed for US.

In Japan as Rockman Rockman and Irregular Hunter X and now in US as Mega Man Powered Up and Maverick Hunter X, a remake of the original Mega Man and Mega Man X games will be released for the PSP. Among the new things that will come in the original Mega Man game are much better backgrounds, revamped music, redesigned levels among other things. For Maverick Hunter X it will be 3D-like graphics(still sidescrolling so its all good), redisigned levels, anime cutscenes, play a side story as Vile, and a animated movie that explain some things about the characters in the X series.

Man I wish I had a PSP just for this game. I guess that I'll have to borrow a PSP from a friend of mine and buy the game since Mega Man X is my favorite SNES game.

What I'm really looking forward is the anime about the story the X series and stuff. I also want to see the side story from Vile, maybe you get to fight X and Zero.

Those two remakes will be great. Does the PSP have good sound quality? The GBA has audio limitations. I like the Mega Man X series better than the Mega Man Classic series.

I don't think I've ever seen something so disgusting in the world of gaming. The 3d look of these two titles is not something I could ever imagine looking so bad. I'll stick with the megaman X collection when it comes out on Gamecube later this year. Horrible looking megaman? No thank you Capcom.

i LOVE the megaman X series. I own the original 3 on my snes, they are a few of my favorite snes games. I especially liked the difficulty with the game at times..did anyone else think so?

Holy crapzilla I forgot about this topic. I got a PSP, and both games mentioned here. Both of em are fun, but the Megaman 1 remake is so much better, and also somewhat pyschyologocially addictive.

well i dont know if this could be called "news" i mean really? this is like the 15000th megaman and you're excited?(megaman fans its suggested you dont read on) whoever works at capcom and dosent realize how low this franchise has sunken needs to be shot in both kneecaps and set on fire. i mean there popping out megaman games like celebs are popping out kids nowa days.

I agree about 95%.

These aren't "new" games, per se. They're remakes of the first Mega Man and Mega Man X, respectively. Each has updated 3D graphics (despite the shittiness of X7 and X8 it seems they got it right this time), different characters to play as, as well as special features in both games. Maverick Hunter X allows you to play as Vile as well as a 30 minute anime about how Sigma went Maverick. Powered Up has 2 new bosses, all bosses are playable, and there is a construction mode where you can make your own levels. These games are by no means "crappy new entries". They take classics, pretty them up, and add new things in the enhance the experience. Remember, we're not talking about Battle Network here, we're talking about the classics.
