Zidane, you're in for one hell of a time with Resident Evil 4, man. When you first take control of Leon, you're going to be like, "What the hell?!", because it's so much different then all of the other Resident Evil games. The game can also be extremely difficult at times.

My best advice to you for when you start off: conserve your ammo! At first, the game gives you a ridiculous amount of ammo, but trust me...you'll need every bullet you get.

Tch. F*cking idiot.
Except for the fact that if it stayed on Nintendo the series would of been shit compared to what it is today. Comparing the Final Fantasy for Ultra 64 that was meant to be the next Final Fantasy to what became Final Fantasy 7 was a huge ass difference.

And as for Resident Evil 4 Capcom ported it to PS2 for the MONEY. Majority of RE fans have it (or have had it) on a Sony system. This in turns gets Capcom more money as Gamecube isn't the best system to put a key game on in America (albiet it sold really ****ing well for a GC game). The move to PS2 was a smart one, and if anyone should complain it should be Nintendo and Mikami, whose work gets it up the ass every ****ing time a bastard incarnation of his games is released (Outbreak, Dead Aim, GAMES HE DIDN'T HAVE A SAY IN)

alright calm down F**king child

Well maybe if Nintendo a such an amazing company they would be able to keep hold of some of these titles? but no Sony has come along and made them what they are today Resident Evil, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid (or metal gear as it was known back then) ,did crystals chronicles sell well? no

You see the werid thing is I am actually a Nintendo Fan (I love Zelda and Mario) but my problem with the Gamecube is compared to the PS2 it does'nt have a massive third party support and you have to wait a while for next must have title from Nintendo

I was just so pissed off when I heard Resident Evil was going to be a Gamecube exclusive I thought it was abit of a stab in the back I mean I have I guess Nintendo fan boys have had it really bad with like I mentioned earlier losing all those series to Sony but when I heard Resident Evil 4 was going aswell to Gamecube alone I was so pissed off because lets be honest now Sony did make the Resident Evil series like sony made FF mainstream.

Yea, and Sean, don't forget that they also did the same ****ing bullshit to Tales of Symphonia.

"Oh, let's please the GC gamers by getting them an exclusive, but then port it to PS2 with more features huhuhu!"

It makes hatred boil within me every time I think about it.

Sean, GCN still has the Resi Evil Remake and Resi Evil Zero, so why are you complaining?

Besides, you guys get the better graphics, although to be honest with you all there's not that much difference. I really don't know why that rumour comes up all of the time...

As I don't own a GC, I'll be getting this game for christmas. Seperate Ways looks pretty good. An excellent addition to the game.

Yeah, and ToS was easily the best RPG of it's year, and, IMO, the best Gamecube title for 2004.

Belle made this comment awhile ago, and I already replied to the post it was in, but I feel like adding this.

He commented about, how we'd feel if Zelda were put on PS2. While, I understand what he's trying to say, this doesn't work in this case because Zelda is not only a Nintendo exclusive, it's created by Nintendo, first party. Nintendo has excellent first party support but highly lacks third party support. When they finally DO get some good support from a third party, said third party just moves it elsewhere.

I understand it all from a buisness perspective, but it's still bullshit because, albiet they're making money, they're pissing off a large portion of their fanbase, and then finding a way to piss off even more people but please the original people they pissed off.

It's all a game to them.

*cough* Stepping back to what the topic was about, I obtained RE:4 two days ago (they were just unpacking it in the store...pwned).
Woo! I like it. Who's complaining about graphics? It's still really detailed. The gameplay is enticing, you're right on top of Leon (tee) and all that accompanies you is how many bullets you have and your health.

The bad guys ain't that stupid anymore either. I have to admit the only other RE I've played was Code Veronica X, where they come at you slowly...slowly...shuffling...almost there...DEAD! Now they come running at you with chainsaws and talking and and BLOOD and stuff! Pretty intelligent dead.
I love the way random button ramming just occurs as well...finally, the boss is dead...BUT WAIT! OMG GONNA DIE AGAIN! X X X X X X X X X X X!)@(!*@!
Story's a bit cheesy, there's still ominous music when the enemy sees you (which is good but otherwise I'd DIE) but...you know...

Well, I'm enthusiastic about it. I'm nowhere near finished, but it'll probably take over my life until I'm done.
Anyone else played/like it?

I haven't played the PS2 version. I'd like to so I can compare it to the GC version. I'll probably favor the GC version more seeing how I played it first and I'm already comfortable with the controls. But we'll see. I'm curious to see how it stacks up.

Urgh. My BRAIN man, my BRAIN.
I just finished pwning those darn regenerators, the nasty little tykes. I was so retarded not to make the connection of the game telling you what they are, and I wasted precious Killer7 ammo on one of those...poo poo heads. Okay, three bullets, but 25.0 man, 25.0.

Anyhoo...I heart this game so much I want to buy a GameCube (finally) and play all others...mmmmhorror.

I think it's good that it's on PS2 now because a fair amount of people don't own a Gamecube. I personally do have a gamecube, and i'm very content with RE4 on it so I guess i'll just keep playing my gamecube.

The game Resident Evil was great on G-cube but I have to say I think that it is better, alot better on Ps2. Resident Evil is a great game and has extra stuff when it's on the Ps2.

Its a solid games it runs good, its awesome, its got a very good arsenal of weapons but aside from the good things about the game that i love theres
Load screens between each cinematic of door opening i dont like that because the original has no load screens what so ever exept for load game.
The other downfall about this game being on PS2 is that it looks better on the gamecube so if you have a gamecube i would reccomend piking it up less than 20 bucks but theres also added feture to PS2 version which would be another reason for buying its on ps2
