Shaq Fu. What it lacks in story, good fighting, characters, it makes up for in Shaq. Doing Kung fu. Shooting fireballs. Fighting mummies. Saving little kids. Having to get back in time for a basketball game. Shaq. Yellow pants. Shaq. Shaq.
Seriously. Shaq fu pwns all. |

My favorite SNES games (in ranking order):
Final Fantasy VI - This is absolute favorite SNES game. It is the best old school game ever. Final Fantasy VI is indeed a masterpiece. I so much love this game. The graphics and soundtrack are excellent for its time. The soundtrack of Final Fantasy VI was Nobuo Uematsu's favorite job. Nobuo Uematsu is the king of video game music. Final Fantasy IV - This is my first Final Fantasy game ever. I did not play other Final Fantasy games until the year 2000. I enjoy the storyline and soundtrack of the game. Main Theme is my favorite song in the game. Final Fantasy V - This is my second Final Fantasy game ever. It was obscure until the 128-bit era. It is not talked about by many. Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest - It is the beginner's RPG. This RPG is recommended for newcomers of the Final Fantasy series. Romancing SaGa - This game is getting remade as a 3D game. It was never before released outside Japan. Dragon Quest III Remix - Dragon Quest III is my favorite of the Dragon Quest series, and the SFC/SNES version is my favorite version of the game. The GBC version is inferior to the SFC/SNES version. I hope it gets remade again by Artepiazza for PS3 or further. Dragon Quest I/II Remix - It is a remake of the first two Dragon Quest games. I like SFC/SNES version better than the NES and GBC versions. I hope they get remade by Artepiazza for PS3 or further. Dragon Quest V - I am glad that this game has been remade for PS2. Will it ever come to North America? Dragon Quest VIII sales will decide. Bahamut Lagoon - This strategy game is so addictive. The soundtrack sounds well-arranged. The dragon feeding concept is interesting. Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu - Ira (better known as Ayra) is my favorite Nintendo character ever. She is the hottest obscure female video game character ever. I want her to be playable in Super Smash Bros. Revolution. Seiken Densetsu 3 - The soundtrack has catchy rhythms and lots of strings. It is Hiroaki Kikuta's best work. Seiken Densetsu 2 (Secret of Mana) - This game is overrated for a Square Enix game. The soundtrack is Hiroaki Kikuta's most famous work. Tales of Phantasia - Namco was never kind enough to bring this game to North America or Europe. This game is an instant import classic. I enjoy its soundtrack, especially for the PlayStation version. The soundtrack is one of Motoi Sakuraba's best works. I like the PlayStation version the best, and the Gameboy Advance version is the worst. Chrono Trigger - This is the most overrated Square Enix game ever. I like the soundtrack though, scored by Yasunori Mitsuda, the prince of video game music. Terranigma - Terranigma skipped North America due to the religious overtones and parallels to religious tales. It is the high point of the Soul Blazer trilogy. I like the soundtrack though, especially "Zoo." Soul Blazer - This is one the games I have been playing a long time. The soundtrack is a masterpiece by Yukahide Takekawa. I would like an enhanced remake of the game. Illusion of Gaia - This is the lowpoint of the Soul Blazer trilogy. Fire Emblem: Thracia 776 - There is a controversy whether it is canon. It has the most realistic soundtrack of any 2D Fire Emblem game. It takes place within Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu. Fire Emblem: Monshou no Nazo - Marth is my favorite character in Super Smash Bros. Melee. This is the Fire Emblem with Marth in it. Breath of Fire - Breath of Fire series is Capcom's answer to Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Breath of Fire 2 - It is the sequel to the precedent. Ys V: Ushinawareta Sunano Miyako Kefin - This is the last Ys game I ever played. It is rather easy. I like this Ys soundtrack the best, because of its orchestral fare. Ys IV: Mask of the Sun - This is the second Ys game I ever played. It is the interquel of Ys II and III. Ys III: Wanderers from Ys - This is my first Ys game. It was originally developed for the PC-88. It was also released on the NES, Sega Genesis, and PS2. It got a reimagined-remake treatment as Ys: Oath of Felghana. Live-A-Live - It has a variety of settings as well as a good soundtrack, scored by Yoko Shimomura. Shin Nekketsu Kouha: Kunio-tachi no Banka - It is the best of the Nekketsu Kouka: Kunio Kun series. It looks good for a Kunio game. Super Metroid - Some say that it is the best Nintendo game ever. Star Fox - This is the game that started one of my favorite game series. My favorite in that series is Star Fox Adventures. F-Zero - Captain Falcon rules the race track. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - This is the Legend of Zelda to be remembered. My brothers did not let me play it until they both beat the game, but I watched them play it and memorized their strategies. That influenced me to beat the game quickly. Metroid Prime: Echoes reprised concepts from this game. Last edited by Ted Zanarukando; 10-20-2005 at 12:07 AM. |

Wow. Old thread.
I didn't play the older Final Fantasies on the SNES, so I won't count them. My favorite game is the Lost Vikings. Man oh man the hours I have spent trying to beat levels in that game. If I go back and play Super Mario, I can beat it straight through. With the Lost Vikings, I am dying a few times before I get it right.

Chrono Trigger is well and truely one of the best. No doubt about that, but I have a big soft spot for Harvest Moon. Ah, so that is my favourite.

DONKEY KONG COUNTRY 1 AND 2!!!! Those are my all time favorite games on the SNES. I was a bit pissed at Donkey Kong Country 3. But anyways, Donkey Kong Country was the first game I get ever. And the SNES was the first console I have ever played. I was about 5 at the time and I remember going through the jungle and getting those bananas. Then in Donkey Kong Country 2, I remember that carnival level. That was pretty fun. The scenery was nice. I still wish I had my SNES though. It brings back a lot of memories.
