The game was alright. Very few games of that caliber are created without Square's (note I said square, not square-enix) aid. But it certainly had its flaws. Apart from the CG videos, the graphics weren't all that great. They were better than FFVII, but worse than FFVIII. Now the story, for the most part, is a complete rip off of FFVII with a few things changed. Actually, it's moreso the character's personalities that are ripped, Dart's and Shanea's(sp?) especially. But that's besides the point. It was a good game, worthy of play.

geez..everybody keeps sayin same stuff with little spoilers

yeah the game ruled. battle system imo sucked balls..yeah no freedom to walk freely on world map was minor setback..speaking of which..does anyone know how or if you can go back into the area that Dart leaves at the very beginning before seeing the town burn and rush to fight stupid commander? but the story and dragoon forms and additions were definitely highlights of the game, especially Lavitz's towards the end, pretty cities during the end, weird robot/politic controlled city though too where you have to run around to amend laws so can progress...definite buy but just for the story...

I thoroughly enjoyed this game when I played it(years ago) Even though the overal story was kinda basic and shallow and the graphics weren't the greatest, I still loved it! I mean who realy cares about graphics? If you are playing games for the graphics, especially RPGs, I hope you die.

This game had an awesome battle system. I loved how the additions worked. It added live action to the game and required quie a bit of skill. I liked how getting additions was based off of your level, but that the more you did then the stronger they got. Every single addition in the game was different and meant you had to learn a new pattern of button taps.

I loved that you could change into the dragoons, it was like summoning but more limited, but if you pulled it off right you could do some pretty bad ass things with your dragoons.

Even though the overal story line was pretty shallow, I liked the plot twists and the ultimate dragoon stuff in the game. I would love to play this game again!

Ok this post I do not understand. You wish you could always know your health? You can, there is an HP amount at the bottom of the screen in the battles. Do you mean how much health you'll gain with a Defend or Guard? 10%...it's always 10% of your max HP, so if you can figure percentile than you'll know.

I thought this game was incredible. One of the best RPG's I've ever played. It ranks up there with Vagrant Story. I wish this game had sequels just like Final Fantasy, I mean give something else a chance here, a totally different type of game system.

I loved the additions, challenging but fun. The dragoon additions were cool, but a lil harder to do as they should be. I thought the Magic was a little sparse, but still cool. I love that Miranda bitch that says "GOD SAVE US" or something like that when you do Heaven's Gate. I do agree that healing is not very widespread among characters as far as healing magic, but there are plenty of healing items and guard does a good enough job when you get high HP anyway. I loved the FMV's, some of the best in the game, I liked the locations of the game, but felt a little contained by the paths you took.

Faust was one of the toughest side bosses I've every fought in a video game. Absolutely incredible, the game is just amazing.

Only thing I really didn't like, was the Dragon Spells. I thought the Graphics for the Dragons were polygonal and completely alienlike, they didn't even look like Dragons.

I loved this game. 10/10
