I'm not exactly sure what your asking but i think it is "Do you prefer TO have summon in Final fantasy games?". If that is the case yes Summons are fun in games and I like the idea of calling forth greater powers in the usual quest for justice. I like them to be integrated into a Final fantasy story (slightly to largely) and certainly to have the command of summon in battles.

Super Special Magic Attack>Magic Attack 9-times outta 10, if you ask me. Odin, Bahamut & Shiva kick Flare, Meteo & Ultima's ass in pure style (most of the time, anyways *remembers ugly FFVII Bahamuts*).

I normally only use a summon in a boss fight to make it a bit easier, not really worth it for a small random fight.

I voted yes, i enjoy having summons in the Final Fantasy games. However it would be better if they were more involved in the storyline, it would make them more interesting

I would have to say yes simply because summons in Final Fantasy games have become a trademark for them. Looking from the first FF game to have summons, it has carried on to later FF games. (Excluding FFX-2. Although you get to fight them. ><)

I am a little concerned with the role that summons are being handed to. With FFXII, I liked the fact that they used new summons. And even though I prefer the older ones, (Shiva, Ifrit, Ramuh, Bahumut, etc.) it was nice seeing fresh new faces to use. But they turn out being useless as the game moves forward. You can't customize their abilities and magic. You can't raise their stats. Hell, you can't even control them and decided what they want to do. So I was pretty bummed when finding that out.

FFXIII looks promising though. Shiva + Transforming Into A Bike = WIN.

I highly prefer summons in the game. Some are very powerful and can dish out some serious damage! Also, as I stated in another thread, Ark, from FFIX, takes so long to summon that everyone with Auto-Regen could recover fully.

I like them the most in FF8 with the boost option and such..

I love how they integrated the summons to the whole status of the character i rather enjoyed the junction system but still hate 8 very much.. the story is very flawed...

I'm everywhere! But yeah, Summons are a part of Final Fantasy! Leaving out Summons would be like leaving out a part of Final Fantasy. Seriously, the poll is 10 yes and 0 no!

It depends on the FF game if I'm honest. I mean XII was dire with tis summoning system. Sure it was fun to beat and earn them but when it come down to it, they were useless save one purpose: Soloing. However, out of all the FF games I have played this seems to be the only one I have disliked the summonings.

Concerning the other games I loved them. In FF IX I liked them because of their summoning videos and raw power (I used them a fair cause I liked them that much). In FF X when the aeons stayed in the battle, at least they could hold their own in a battle. Hell, for the first time you could control their abilities and customize them as it has been mentioned above. That worked brilliantly.

So Final Fantasy does need summonings because they are something that usually keep getting better and better (with the exception of XII that is xD).

I prefer it espically in Final Fantasy 10 cause it's like they have there own battles to fight and there almost like characters themselves but in the other Final Fantasy's there like a awsome boost and makes Final Fantasy... Final Fantasy.

and this has been the most 1 sided poll i've ever seen since i've been here: 14 yes and 0 no
