Final Fantasy: Dissidia PSP Details

i read that its coming out in japan dec 18th 08. NO NEWS what so ever about a release date for u.s. onion knight made it in tho.also a dissidia posters been floating around the net and it show's all the villians. FF5,6,7 are still big ?'s for the heros. everybody is dead sure that strife will be in it but i almost think that they will leave him out. that would be the real suprize. i hope not tho, If you watch the newest trailer on the official dissidia page there's a split second where lightning flashes and all the heros are shown at a distance but i cant make out any big swords. assuming he use buster in dissidia. check it out on youtube an look for the 3rd trailer, or go an have google translate the japanese website. anyone who post more info would mos def have my gratitude.

so i hear that they add a new character like cloud into it and thats great so now they have all the mains from each FF except XII but i dont think they can use XII but who knows maybe they will .... so what does anyone else think of this?

Uh, they actually added the entire roster by now, and I know there's a place that has all of the pics so far (NeoGAF, I think; Final Fantasy Wiki has all pics of Dissidia on the character's respective pages.) The Dissidia Japanese page doesn't update on time: it took a while to add the Final Fantasy IV characters. What you can expect is some background info, and not as accurate as you may think. Or understand-able.

The only surprise left by now is if they'll add characters from either XI, XII, or XIII. For the last FF, a cameo appearance can be safely left out since that entry into the series will have its own fighting game (Versus, to which you might say Dissidia is the testbed for said technology), and XI doesn't have a main character so far (and what villain will be there? Promathea, a goddess by her own right?) XII has the best chance to have a last minute entry, having Vaan and Vayne appear, but that's the big "if" statement. Namely, "IF" the creators decide to add them or not.

I'm looking forward to Dissidia. I think they have an interesting group of characters and a great idea. I like that it will be more of an action game. Sure it goes against the usual RPG but it is a great idea and I plan on getting it when it comes out.
