I said Cecil and Rosa because i think they are the archetype of what makes a good couple in a game.

Though, i too am a big Rydia fan (And edge for that matter) and i think they make a good though very unpredictable couple. The chemistry there is certainly less..uh traditional than Cecil and Rosa. Definitely leaves a lot to be wondered.

Though i'm a big fan of VI..there really aren't any couples there if you ask me. Locke and Terra i wouldn't say is a couple..Locke acts like more of a guardian/big brother figure almost, Celes and Locke seems more reasonable but eh, no real standout couples.

Squall and Rinoa are also a great one, i think they really did the whole love story thing right, unlike X in my opinion which didn't.

Yeah, you have a point on that. Quistis did show up first before the rest of them, and hey, she's got something for Squall. But my friends tell me though that Quistis felt a mistaken love for Squall, ummm, I mean she didnt feel love as in the love for couples, but she felt just a sisterly love for Squall, as what Ive heard.

I like Cloud and Aeris but I do see the point of how she liked him cause of Zack. But she wanted to get to know the real Cloud. Aeris was just too awesome.

Cloud and Tifa don't work because she ignored him when they were kids and she thinks by default she gets Cloud when she wasn't even there for him? I don't think so. Let Rude have her.

I would choose Squall and Rinoa.Probably cause its my favorite ff and he always ends up saving her therefore he isnt emotionless at all lol. He does care for her yet he may not always say it he does show it,shes his priority.

I'm going with Zidane and Garnet, because they were so romantic with one another without actually coming out and saying it. Plus, he comes back from the dead (we think) to run back to her arms. So sweet. However, Locke and Rachel from FFVI and Cecil and Rosa from FFIV would also be near the top.

I voted Other because of no Locke/ Celes. Their relationship seemed so innocent. The fact that Celes searched the world for him seemed like nothing could keep them apart. After Locke overcame his past, he saw what was waiting there the whole time for him. When he forgave himself for his past mistakes, I felt like he knew then that he wanted to be with and protect the person that he was so drawn to.

I must agree with you on the Zidane/Garnet couple, it really does seem like a loving relationship, even without the sealing actuality of admission.

I agree that Zidane and Dagger where a great couple but Rinoa and Squall where my vote simply because to me their relationship like that realy set the tone. In by opinion they were the real first couple, Cloud was more to himself and mixed up, but this was only a small time thing in the game it wasnt realy concentrated on relationship much.

Unlike Final Fantasy VIII's rinoa and Squall. It seems that FF VII is set round Cloud and Sephiroth in a deep rivalry. But in VIII through out it is consently set on Squal and Rinoa.

The fact that game play seround a relationship like that worked, in the way that everyone loved it. Ment that it could also be used in IX but also with a more sinister plot with the use of kuja and zidane -

in other words I see it as VII and VIII merging together to mskr IX, you have the plot of VII with kuja and zidane and the increasing romance from VIII inputted in IX with Ziane and Garnet.

It HAS to be Lulu and Wakka.

I just enjoyed the fact that it wasn't as overstated as most FF relationships. "Oh my goodness, we're soulmates, but we're doomed/can'tbetogether/etc".. It annoys me. Lulu and Wakka shut up about it all through FFX and then they had a cute little baby in FFX-2. No fuss. And they're kinda nice together. I'm not a big Lulu fan at all, but their personalities were nicely contrasted.

So yay.

The best Final Fantasy couples in my opinion is Yuna and Tidus from Final Fantasy X, second best couple is Squall and Rinoa from Final Fantasy VIII and the third best couple is Zidane and Dagger/Garnet from Final Fantasy IX.

I always thought Cecil and Rosa were the best couple, mainly because there was attraction and dedication between the two of them throughout the entire story, like Rosa becoming a white mage to protect Cecil, Cecil becoming a paladin to be strong enough to save Rosa from Golbez. They were that cute couple that you saw back in like high school that stayed together the whole time and you thought to yourself "man when are they going to get married?"
