Final Fantasy Character Name Meanings

I like to mess around with name meanings for when I name characters in fiction I write, and I was thinking, "I wonder what some of the final fantasy character names mean?" So I went to http://www.babynames.com to check that out. Here are a few I came up with.

Cecil means "blind"

Kain was not listed, but Cain means "craftsman" and even cooler, Caine means "spear hunter"

Rosa means "rose" (big shocker!)

Rydia was not listed, but Lydia means "A maiden from Lydia, Greece"

Edward means "wealthy guardian", while Gilbert means "trusted"

Edgar means "great spearman".

Sabin means "from the Sabines, an ancient Italian tribe"

Locke means "forest"

Vincent means "victorious"

Seifer means "sword of God"

Vivi means "alive"

Lulu means "pearl"


So some of these names are really interesting and fit their characters. You guys try to find more and see what other names really fit, and which ones don't! Try http://www.babynames.com or any other site that gives name meanings. Have fun!

whats this site for. those names are pretty neat. isnt it weird how a mage which has just a year long life has a name like "life"? am i the only one that thinks thats weird???
