Never ask why it's called "Final" Fantasy again! It's basically an RPG.

That thread is about why its called "Final" Fantasy.
Do we have a topic about what Final Fantasy is? Basically it is a turn based role playing game often set but not limited to medieval times, traditionally European esq themes but uses a range of imagery and wording from the ancient religions and ways of life. Oh and on a side note, the romance stories never really were a tradition, they just popped up on VII and been a part ever since, unless Terra loved somebody and I didnt notice.
