Where in the world do they carry all that stuff?

So I am just wondering were the characters from Final Fantasy carry all their inventory. Right now I am playing Final Fantasy IV and I own like a billion shields, pieces of armor and weapons. So were are my characters carring all those things? Sabin does look pretty tough but his pockets are not that big. Shadow has skin tight clothes, Celes doesn't appear to be wearing anything baggy either. And the thing that really gets me is that everyone is sprinting with all of this crap.
It seems like all the other games are this way too cloud owns 99 potions but does not need a backpack. Cecil has 99 antidotes and keeps them in his Batman suit? I just don't get it, any idea were all that inventory is kept?

Magic probably. Compress all the items so they fit in your pocket? I dont know myself but since there is magic during fights, why not during packing?

I have also wondered this question. Maybe they do use magic to compress it into their pockets or maybe they hide it in hole in the ground and dig it up when they need it. Its just one of the those questions that the world may never know.

They actually have a little alien friend that follows them around. You never see him, but he is there. He hovers over the screen in a little UFO that the mexican government put together as a modern day cargo ship....

They just dump it all off on poor little Zorkton and make him haul it around...

I have wondered about that sometimes. Maybe they store it in a town nearby or just place the stuff in a safe location until they need it. Or maybe they do carry it with them the whole time lol. Who knows. The answer is unknown.

I dont think they store it in a town. If they do, how do they get there so quickly when it took us a long time to actually get out? It is one thing in video games that they dont make as realistic as possible.

Amen, Anomaly. See, Link (of LoZ fame) carries a little pouch on his side. This is the bag of infinite holding. It is a tiny little pouch with a portal to a massive storage system. This is how Link (and I assume any character pulling equipment or items from seemingly nowhere) has access to his entire stock at any time.

Perhaps the technology was refined in the world of Final Fantasy to be compressed into a single pocket rather than a hip-based pouch? It's perfectly feasible in a completely unfeasible way.

you know the fat chocobo in final fantasy IV, well everygame has one of them, its just invisible in the rest and follows them around everywhere, the one in FF4 is just a slacker

This was explained by a friend of mine.

Or maybe the huge ass summons carry it?
