I just stumbled upon the DoC trailers, from what I can see you control Vincent in an Action Shooter, possibly like MGS I don't know and I think it takes off a year after Advent Children. No doubt I will get it as I collect anything FF related but if I will play it as it's not an RPG plus I have heaps of other games I want to play and it looks like it'll be released close to the other games, but yeah I may play it later down the track. Who else here is looking forward to it and is going to buy it and what else do you guys know?

It's supposed to be a FPS-RPG. So I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Ofcourse I'll play it, I'm a fan of FPS on thier own, as with RPG.

Nope, actually guys, its a third person shooter, from info I heard at a gaming store. I dunno if any of you had played Devil May Cry? Any one the three? But it should by movement and what not like that, as well as a mix of an RPG I geuss? But anyways, I'm definetly looking forward to playing this. Vincent kicks ass!

Well, I heard thats its going to have online play. It has some wierd soldier people that got trapped under the ground or something.

I like the sound of it, Vincent was a pretty cool character and I am too involved in the FFVII franchise to let this one slip by me.

Dirge of Cerberus is an FPS. As you defeat enemies Vincent gains experience and the ability to upgrade his weapons and his own stats. Yeah, kind of like DMC, but you don't collect orbs.

The Deep Underground SOLDIERS are the remnant of SOLDIER and a special ops organization that was created by Hojo at the behest of the late President Shin-Ra (note, not Rufus). They posses Jenova's cells, as well as other shocking scientifically modified powers. They were NOT trapped underground, but rather were lying low. It is rumored the intrance ot their facility is actually hidden beneath the commemorative statue at the center of the new town of 'Edge'. (where the events of Advent Children mostly take place and the spot that the children whos Jenova cells were activated were drawn to)

One of the members of the DU is similar to Vincent, and is refered to as Omega. Both Vincents Chaos form and this other characters Omega form are refered to as WEAPONS...the fruit of Hojo's processing of the reports he stole from Professor Gast in the Iccicle Inn (along with Gasts life, his wife, and then baby Aeris) that dealt with the Planets ability to create WEAPONS in times of crisis.

The game stars Vincent because it deals mostly with his history, Hojo's history, and that of Shin-Ra, but the other AVALANCHE members will all be in it as well, in side roles.

Well if it is anything like the Devil May Cry serise, with a RPG them added to it.... Then hell yeah I am going to by it. I can't wait to get it.

I also heard that all the FF7 Charecter's are going to be in it. I also think you play alittle of the game with them to. But I am not sure.

It's a combination Shooter/Role-Playing game, closely based on the targeting system of Resident Evil 4, with the Role-Playing elements of Final Fantasy.

It's an interesting concept, and i'm rather anxious to play. Release is in September, correct?

I heard there won't be any online play for the U.S. version.

Question. Why would Square-Enix include online multiplayer for the Japanese version, and not for the American version?

Because you need the harddrive to have multiplayer. The amount of users in the U.S. are very small so they decided to remove it from the American version. So looks like no online play for us damn.

I dunno...but when I pre-order it I'll find out.

...I just found out who the main villain actually is and now I'm psyched to get it. Also I was wrong about Crisis Core...it really is a game.
