Thanks for clearin' that out. Well, in that case, Shadow is more developed. But that's because he's so friggin' cool. I still stand my ground that Vincent was made mysterious and it was done on purpose (or Square made it seem on purpose) for the fact that Vince was just an optional character. It fitted well. Also, if you haven't gone through the dreams of Shadow, you would also think that he was underdeveloped. Am I right? So, it's just how you look at it. Personally, I don't see what they could've given Vincent as extra background that you couldn't think of yourself... |

It's just a difference of opinion, then. To me, there was plenty to Shadow that you didn't have to see his dreams to figure out. Even without the dreams, he was more developed than Vincent -- not much, but still more. And it might have been intentional -- or like you said, it might have been made to seem like it was intentional, but Vincent just didn't have much... I don't see what more you could have gotten, other than what they explained, which wasn't much. If you make up your own background for characters, what's the point?
EDIT: Rather, Shadow may not have had a lot of backstory without the dreams (still more than Vincent, I'd say), but he is explained quite well. His struggle to find himself, deal with the pains in his past, and learn to appreciate those who appreciate him.

There still isn't much more of Vincent you SHOULD know btw. He had a tragic time. That's it. He's sick of everything, but sees he should travel along so justice can be served. Now doesn't that sound like a standard optional character plot to you? |

I pretty much feel like letting the whole thing go at this point, and not poking at little things that don't really matter, as the whole "agree to disagree" idea has shown itself fairly strongly at this point, and no one's insulting me anymore, or saying anything I feel is more than a little bit foolish... but... *poke poke pokes anyway*

Although you could definitely argue that Vincent has more story than Umaro, Mog, and GoGo do, most likely. I just wanted to be a dick again and point that out to you. Okay, I'm officially done. Anything else that you say, I will give credit as having merit, and probably accurate. ...unless you say something really silly. Then I might have to correct you again (just kidding.)Wuv, Yer Mom

While FF6 was great, FF7 was just better. It is the ONLY FF where you can breed you very own chocobo and train it. FF7 also has the best summon of any FF game.

I personally liked Final Fantasy VII also. I really didn't like FF VI that much. I never really got that into it. Maybe someday I'll actually finish FF VI and like it more, but right now I like FF VII. Final Fantasy VII was a good game.

FF7 is better because it had a good storyline to it and good boss battles. Also I liked playing the mini-games a lot and begging to see which chocobo would win. I really do miss playing this game.

I would choose Final Fantasy VI. The reason: I like it better since I´ve played FFVII. FFVII was fun, but a bit overrated. FFVI is more classic and interesting (but that´s my opinion).

Simply since FF7 had less characters, it will tend to make the storyline of them slightly stronger, but FF6 definately had a wider varity of background. It really showed how people of all backgrounds with enough strength to face Kefka stepped up and fought evil. You can't tell me that only 8 (if i counted right) had enough to fight back, especially one that was a robotic doll, an insult to all living characters in both games. face it, FF6 was just better.
