FFVI vs. FFVII!!

I don't want a feature that stands out. All features of each FF stands out. I want a feature in which FFVI is superior to FFVII. Do that, with good argumenting and I'll be satisfied.

Palazzo, don't try and make a fool out of me. Numerous members have given features but have failed to impress me, just for the fact that none of them was convincing enough. Instead of trying to make fun of me, find a something really convincing, and we'll both be happy. And sorry if I failed to formulate my sentence in the right manner: I don't want a reason that JUST stands out etc.

Cloud was cloned from Zack and given his memories, (which were shown in the beginning of the game and along the storyline), Tifa ALSO knew this due to both had simliar clothes and personality. He was apparently apart of Jenova's cells too, (If you watched Advent Children that would make it plainly obvious).

Do you want me to go get my friend that's beaten FF7 getting almost 100% of everything, beat ruby, and most likely knows the storyline ten times as better than me to concur my words? Sephiroth was a puppet yes, but he was cloned by Jenova's cells, correct? During the first disc at the end Sephiroth showed Cloud he was also a puppet, AKA CLONED! Geez, you either don't know what cloned means or your just trying to hurt my e-intelligence.

Um, no. You seem to be forgetting the part in Mideel where Tifa and Cloud fall in the lifestream and Tifa shows him his real past. If you watch the flashback when you go to the Nibelheim mansion basement on disc 3 I think it is, you'd see why Cloud thought he was in SOLDIER and why he became a mercenary. He was infused with Jenova cells and it totally screwed with his mind and while he and Zack were escaping, Zack was talking about becoming a mercenary. Until, of course, Zack got killed and Cloud was left there, where he took Zack's sword and pretty much became him because his mind was so warped.

Sephiroth wasn't cloned either, he was only infused with Jenova Cells (like Cloud and Zack were) while he was in Lucretia's womb.

it's hard for me to determine a winner, but i did choose final fantasy vii... i played FF since it came out in america for the 8bit system, and have loved it ever since (...well since FFX came out).. final fantasy III..(yes i called it 3! im not asian so why do u people continue to call it FFVI except to confuse people)...was hands down the best FF until FF7 came out... and people saying VII had terrible 32-bit graphics should research a little more, because for it's time, FF7 was considered one of the best graphical rpg games ever made... and till this day i think of it the same as well, i wouldnt change one thing about the graphical nature of 7 or 3 for that matter.

i havent played 3 in awhile, but i remember it having an amazing story, amazing music, and a character lineup that is right up there with 7... i personally just feel final fantasy 7 had such a deep involving story that went to the very bare bones of how life started, and eventually evolving into the present and the side effects of an evil corporation's lust for power and the chaos it caused, and then having time to explain each character's stories in detail and how each one was connected to each other, *AS WELL AS* the affiliation with NPC's and their envolvement with the story and char's in whole (yeah that's most FF's).... it was very well thought out, and left very little holes to wonder about.... but again i feel the same about 3's story, it was spectacular. so in the end... i think a question of this vs. that is mearly a personal choice.

final fantasy games touch people for different reasons.... hell, i've heard some people say XI was there favorite..... sad, i know.

Well I voted for Final Fantasy VI easily. FF VII is a fanboy and graphic hounds dream. The story was alright the characters were badly underdeveloped. Examples of this:

We never really knew much about Cait Sith.

We knew next to nothing on Yuffie and Vincent, they weren't even in the closing cinemas. Hell, after you got them in your party they barely even said a friggin word the rest of the game. Totally lame.

Aeris dying was not the first FF character to die, not even close, you'd have to go back about 5 FF's to find the first. Only thing that made it dramatic was that it was a woman(similar to that military & woman being blown apart in war thing, it's a demoralizer for men) and the fact that she was so innocent and sweet.

I'm not even going to sit here and discuss this, I liked FF VII and I liked FF VI, I liked VI more for the characters as they all had unique tales that were cool and interactive(meaning they weren't just a backstory you read in a textbox, like every character in FF VII).

I disliked both games for the materia and esper systems. But I also know that VI will not win this poll. Why you ask? Because there are so many people that like the stupid game for one reason...Sephiroth FMV's. That alone to people is the most important thing and when you look at that only, your closed minded as to what anything else even happened in the game.

I absolutely hated Clouds Mideel-traumatized episode when he was in the wheelchair. Fu*king drove me crazy it was so stupid.

i agree for the most part, but i think if you used Vincent in your party for a majority of the game after obtaining him, you'd notice has does have a lot of interesting parts. and doing side-quests adds to this

i think the 12 year olds started this up. cause aeris dieing didn't matter to much to me, i never used her, and didn't care if she and cloud were together or not. both have major roles, storyline wise, but tifa seems to have always been there since childhoods.

i enjoyed the esper system when III came out. don't now. but i still enjoy the materia system, and the way it grows. it made it easy to decide which characters got what, and an easy method of organizing spells before a big fight.

i think if anyone liked a FF game simply because of one villian, or even worse their FMV's, they should quit playing FF, or at least have no right to comment on it because those are no reasons to enjoy such a wonderful series.
