FF Road Trip

Another odd one. Of course.

If you had to pick one FF character to join you on a 27 hour car ride to Disneyworld, which character would you choose and why ?

I would probably have to choose Paine. She really doesn't talk all that much, which is good, and would probably be into the same type of music so that would be one argument we wouldn't have to get into. But by the same token, I think that she would be one of those girls who has to stop and pee every 5 minutes. Which personally, I couldn't handle.

Honorable mention would go to Red XIII because he would probably just curl up in the back seat and sleep the whole way. That, and I dont think he can drive. The whole thumb thing, ya know.

If I had to pick someone to be in a small space for that long, it'd definitely be Sephiroth. Sure, his sword is HUGE...but man, his sword. That, and he could use his godlike powers to smite other idiots off the road.
I think he'd rather enjoy Disneyland as well.

It would always be good to have Cid come along, just in case the car broke down. But he'd probably smoke too much, and I don't know what he'd make of Disneyland. The kids would probably piss him off.

I have to agree about Red XIII. Not only would he cause no problems, but we could have decent, meaningful conversations, and he might fetch some attenion from girls "Oh, what a cool dog! Can I pet him?" But then he'd make some remark to her, and she'd either get angry, or freak out, and the FBI would arrest me for possessing what is possibly a genetic experiment, and poor Red would be locked in a bio lab.

If I could put him on a leash and convince him to keep quiet...

Hmm... I'm not to sure who I would choose. Perhaps Yuna, since she's my favourite Final Fantasy character. It would probably be pretty cool to go on a road trip with her. If I had to choose a male, I think I would choose Squall because he's my favourite male character and I also think he's cute. Red XIII would be a cool choice as well, everyone would be fascinated with a talking dog.

Meh, Red would just stick his head out the window and enjoy the breeze the whole way and possibly get decapitated by a passing 18-wheeler. (... wow... I didn't mean to type that last part... it was just the image that popped into my head when I envisioned Red sticking his head out the window... sorry about that.)

Does Chrono Trigger count as an FF? If so, I'd choose Lucca; hers is the kind of personality I get along with well, we're both techie nerds (gives us something to talk about for 27 hours) and she seems like the type who would enjoy Disney World, and even possibly come up with some invention that would distract the crowds long enough to get us further ahead in line.

If I can't choose her, I'd go for Kiros perhaps? Most FF characters are either really talkative (it's hard to keep a conversation going for 27 hours straight, and Kiros is one of those people who knows how to enjoy the silence) or else they're silent badasses, which would intimidate me and get on my nerves after a while. I think I'd get along with FF8's entire cast fairly well; they seem more intelligent on average than characters from other games. Quistis and Fujin were both fairly high on my list too.

Kingdom Hearts's Kairi gets an honorable mention, but I don't really get her personality quite as much as some of the other characters above, because she doesn't talk that much.

Anyway Lucca, Kiros, and Kairi will work, but I'm also tempted to toss in a vote for NOT-Rikku (X-2). If there was one character who would incessently repeat, "Are we there yet?" it'd be her for sure.

I hear you on the 'no Rikku' point. I also wouldn't like to take Selphie along. I can picture it. We're driving along the motorway, a train goes past, and the whole car starts bouncing as she jumps up and down in her seat in excitement: "Oh my God! What a cool train! Yaaaaaaay!"

I would have to pick Lulu. Why you ask? Because she in my opinion is the hottest of all the FF chicks. Along with somwhat paying attention to the road, I could feast my eyes apon her glorious.....countenance... Anyway, mabey at rest stops we could play with her moogle...

yes rikku would be annoying but so wouldnt selphie? I would like somebody calm but fairly talkative like tifa mostly or red xiii, wakka, quistis or even princess garnet. i reacon me and tifa could talk for hours and never get bored

I would go with Rikku because I don't like to talk, I am more of a listener. Lord knows that she talks alot.
But if I want fun I would take either Tidus or Wakka, they seem pretty fun.

Well, you all have to remember the destination here -- Disneyworld.

I can't imagine taking Paine to Disneyworld, PA. She'd probably mope the whole time. Or, in a drastic turn of events, her inner child could be released! Either way, I probably wouldn't take her. Nor would I take Rikku, for that matter. Love the girl and all, but it'd be too much like babysitting both in the car and at the theme park.

That said, I'd like to go with Setzer. Who wouldn't want to go with a badass gambler who can pilot anything that can fly? Plus, I bet he's got a whole plethora of stories from the years and years of his wild antics. And you know he's a ladies' man. Just look at him! He is what Edgar wants to be.

Wow, I wasn't even thinking of Setzer! I was thinking more along the lines of Locke or Laguna, but that's probably a really good choice, Cesar. Not only would he likely be able to tell interessting stories, but he is also a less extreme personality than most FF characters; he'd probably be somewhere in the middle, between super hyper and and "I'm SO badass and quiet. Fool."

When I was thinking along the lines of Laguna, I was thinking how a few people were saying they'd want someone quiet to go along with them. Completely quiet the entire time is boring, though, in my view. I'd want a conversation at least every once in a while. Although Laguna would probably end up talking almost the entire time, and I like my music... something bad might happen. I'd take Locke with. He's my favorite, and he's probably of middling personality, like Setzer. Plus, he might appreciate my music more than Setzer. Plus, Setzer's still probably too "I'm bad ass!" for me. Locke would probably be more friendly, and willing to put up with me.

I'd take Hojo. Why? If I can't get him arrested during the car trip, I can get a cop on him in Disneyland for preforming horrific genetic experiments on little kids. I'll do anything to get rid of him... If I actually wanted to enjoy the ride, I'd take along Vincent.
