What is the worst thing that has either happened to your final fantasy game, or, in it.

IN:
-accidentily overwrought my beaten ff7
-accidentily overwrought my beaten ff10

TO:
-disc 2 of ff8 just goes black whenever i get to the part before you fight NORG becuase the guy i got it from scratched it!
-lost FFX-2 for about a year...

conclusion: man, i better take better care of my games...

i had level 70+ characters and almost all master materia on 7 that i had been playing a week on, and when i fought safer sephiroth he beat me, so i quit playing for a while. when i went back to try again the data was corrupt and i had to format the memory card and lost every thing

Jesus, dont attack him only because he answered your thread. You should only be happy since it raises the activity of the thread. If its such an inconvenience to you that you get notifications of replies to your threads, turn it off. I dont give a damn if you like being notified of replies.

Only thing Tidus did wrong was double posting. Your first post was actually nice since it at least had some content (which one cant say about lots of n00bs). If you want to add something in the future, just edit your post. That way you dont get in trouble with the mods.

after spending 999 hours on FFVII, my memory card reads ruined file.

I think one time I had levelled up my characters a significant amount (Can't remember exactly how much) but I forgot to save and the power went out. I had to do all of that levelling up all over again.

hm... i once accidently deleted my x2 file (i was in chapter 3) but i didnt really care

and btw, belrog777, about the memory card, do you leave the memory card in your ps while turning it off? that can lead to problems

My 3rd CD of FF8 got scratched because of a bad mix: card game+Random & Direct rules+excessive anger=scratched CD. I think it still works, despite the treatment. At least I know my PSX still works. BTW, it was the laser that scratched it.

Also, my 2nd CD of FF7 has a little itty-bitty scratch that makes the game freeze when they're about to fall to Midgar. I dunno what happened then.

My FF8 disc 1 used to crash as soon as it was gonna change to disc 2

Yeah right, if would get a card game with Random+all trading rule and lost 5 player cards my anger would be the one scraching the cd... not the lazer. Its like playing Final Fantasy Tactics for four hours withought saving and along comes a group of 10 ninjas and half your team is on dispach missions and you are playing with your low lv character so you can level them up and you get killed

, yeah, anger will scrach the CD... it happened to me once. It sucked major c0j0n3$.

Well, in ffxii saving ashe, there was no save crystals. So what ended up happening was that whenever I lost that little fight against the rebels, I had to start all over again..

I remember one time in Final Fantasy 8 I was riding around with a chocobo away from the Garden and I couldn't get back.

It was horrible. I just had to start over. Also from Final Fantasy 8 I lost most of my good player cards, and then for some reason I saved over my file with the cards.

I was so stupid. Also if I remember right there are some games where you can save, but after you save you can't go back to level up or anything and there is a boss waiting for you. I was never strong enough to beat the boss. I would always have to start over. I can't really remember right now which games those are... They might not even be Final Fantasy games.

Finally I lost my Final Fantasy Tactics Advance game. I never even got far enough to tell if it really was a good game or not.

I lost my old blue PS1 memory card, on that it had a perfect save from FFVII, a save point at the very last save in FFVIII, Completed data for FF4, FF5 and FF6. As well as several other games including Spyro, Tony Hawks, Abes Exodus and some other games. Also when I first got into the series somebody stole my wallet with my memory card in it which had my original save data for FFVII and VIII so I had to start all over again which really pissed me off.

Oh... I always leave my memory card in my PS2 when I switch it off, and I switch it off via the front and I have never had any problems minus having to bump my memory card for it to read it. I would say its something else thats causing problems.
