Most underrated FF

Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and IX are mid-school. Old school is no better or worse than new school. I am neutral when it comes to the new school vs. old school debate. Final Fantasy X-2 is more underrated than Final Fantasy IIIj and V combined. It is mainly underrated by conservative gamers. Final Fantasy X is also underrated. Final Fantasy V was first released in North America in 1999 and in Europe in 2002.

FF7 is old school in my opinion... and several others, too. I'd consider, FF8 and 9 to be mid-school. (I know all 3 are for the PSX, but still...)
And, I do not believe, that in any way, that FFX is underrated... It is HIGHLY overrated...

I wouldn't know-I have only played VII and Tactics-and both were ove . I will say that, even though I love FFVII. I had a chance to borrow VIII, but never did.... (Noobs...who needs 'em, ne?)

I'd have to say FF9 was underated. Not many people took to it cause of the deformed characters and I have to admit, neither did I. But I played it again not long after and it's one of the gretaest games I have ever played.

FFVIII, easily, was very underrated.

A lot of people say FF8 sucked, I, personally, thought it had a lot of really great points.

FFV.They all say its too simple but Im a sucker 4 jobs so that mean that It was so easy 4 me to fall in love with FFIII,FFV,FFX2 and although I never played it because I dont know the criterion needed 4 it,FFXI.I found it great and I found a Edward cameo in FFV [theory].
FFX2 is also one of those underrated games.The girls+jobs is what dragged me in cause I figured it'd be girls screwin round in skimpy tops and skirts looking like a day at the beach.But people hate the Pop and the girls.Strangely enough many of my friends thought that FF is sexist cause of all the titles ull only find 2 and if ur lucky ull get 3 girls in it so girls would have liked it lots.I for one think that it deserves much more praise than it gets cause they say UT with the OLD and IN with the NEW.

FFIX although one of my favs and maybe the top of the midschools was underatted cause they say they look deformed.Have u ever taken a look at FFVII and a look at FFIX?You'll instantly see that even in these times,FFIX looks better than that overrated FFVII with its blocky graphics and over customizable characters.

The underrated Final Fantasy games usually look better than the overrated ones. Final Fantasy X-2 is the most underrated of all Final Fantasy games. Most criticism of Final Fantasy X-2 is based on very lacking and useless information. That is according to the recent reviews.

To me the most underrated FF is FFVI. Mostly, this is just in my geographical area. Not many have even heard of it over here. Then again, most of them don't know that it was originally released as FFIII here in the States.

I think either 4 or 8. 8 is a very fun game and is just as good as any other FF but all you ever hear about it is how bad the junction system is. Or it could be 4. It's a great game and people like it but everybody seems to not mention it.

Final Fantasy VI is actually overrated just like Final Fantasy VII. The most underrated Final Fantasy is actually Final Fantasy X-2, because it was criticized based on entirely useless information. Final Fantasy VIII is also a great game, and I think the junction system is fine.

I think FF IX is the most underrated

I chose FFI, simply because a regular gamer would say: "Yeah, it's 2D and all, it's not fun.....I want 3D!!!" But Final Fantasy I is a fantastic game! It's just nice to play. Personally I'm not disturbed by the 2D graphics, I think it's fun, all the colors and stuff.

My second choice would be FFIX. A lot of people say it sucks...I still don't know why. I think it's an excellent game. It has a fairy-tale like atmosphere, which makes it different then the other FF's. I also think it has the best soundtrack, the best ending, and an excellent variaty of characters. And I really liked to see the Equipment and Items in colors. It's a small thing, but hey, it's the small things that matter.

So FFI is kinda like FFIX little brother, it doesn't get picked on so much, because big brother takes all the blows, but people forget the gameplay in some things which is a bit of a shame.

FF1. By today's standards it would get bashed by gamesites just because it's old.

I'd choose IX.

It's a pity, really. People are willing to give up the best FF game ever because the characters are a tiny bit cartoony.
