Best not-final boss/villain in FF

All right, who is the best villain or boss in any FF but it can't be the final boss (Sephiroth, Kefka, Sin). Mine would be Hojo. (FF7)

uh i dont know i thaught trema was a good one even all he was hard to beat but i still beat him coz im the FF champ.

I'd say edea(ff8) because she has a cool evil stare and shes a woman...Go girl power!!! aLthough yunalesca(ffx) was pretty good... she was a challenge(for me n e ways) but it was good once she was gone coz i hated her!!! evil, good for nothing...

Ultros is funny, cool and (sometimes

) strong. And of course, Ultros's sidekick, Chupon. To think of it, Squaresoft had many weird characters/villains in FF VI.

Why hasn't anybosy mentioned any of the bosses added to the game that are actually added to give players a challenge. The weapons ring a bell? I would say Ruby weapon in VII was an alright challenge. It was not exactly that hard but that's not why I play the games solely.

come on they all were to easy. i beat emeralde weapon in ten minutes with out cheating, and with out the underwater materia. and i beat ruby in about 20 minutes. of course i was all the way maxed out, when i did beat them.

No shit?!?! That's also why I said that they were not that hard. Fact is that there are no really hard bosses in Final Fantasy games.....actually, I think that those pesky Malboros are harder to beat (in any Final Fantasy) than most bosses since they catch you unaware and usually fuck you over with bad breath before you can kill them.

I liked Seymour myself. He had such a complex plan.

Spoiler:

1- Kill his father to gain control of the Maester title.
2- To use Yuna as a way to get the people's attention and admiration.
3- Travel with Yuna to Zanarakand to become the Fayth of the Final summon
Thus being Sin himself. But Seymour planned to control Sin to destroy the entire world.

He is very intelligent, though he is a little manical at times. I mean that laugh is just *shudders* freaky. His character is very intriguing. His past...alll so very interesting.

I think it would have to be Seymour for me. Even though he was really annoying, he put up a pretty good fight. It took me a few times to beat him in a couple battles.

I think the best villain apart from Sephiroth is Beatrix, when she was a villain.
Okay, okay, she became a good guy later, but when she was a villain, she was kick-ass. She is just so smooth and cool about everything. Including kickin' your party's ass!

Another great villain was Heidegger, gnah, gnah. What a fat bastard! With his stupid laugh. But a very evil laugh! Gnah, gnah.....(who laughs like that?)

And don't forget Gilgamesh from Final Fantasy V, this dude had his own theme. He was this stumbling retard, who just kept getting stronger and stronger. But in the end, he showed he wasn't THAT big of a retard, which made him utterly cool!
