samanosuke_akec has levelled up - (lv 1)
if you could make a game form final fantasy ellmenst what would it look like,

If you could make a RPG taking elements from meaning part of past ff games how would you do so I’m going to take some time on this to really put down all the systems to date…other then ff11 it is on its own… any way yes here it goes

Note: I’m not perfect I’m just taking what I would need to make this a happening thing I will describe to the best of my knowledge each section any one wishes to like pm me on the side and help me later of pleas do so there’s lots to do.

Battle systems
As we who have played the legendary game final fantasy this game has expended in so many way that it is just a pleasure to be a gamer the battle system its self it the simples part it has two main ways of working active battle or wait there here what these mean
“active battle” is simply that there enemies that you the gamer would face do not take a break they attack and your mined has to be sharp enough to react in time this is most often used bye the people who played a lot of rpg’s and how the way thing work down items spell attack casting knowing ever peace of there game before it even starts.
“wait” this is a simpler way of battle it allows the player to take time with every move often cases new comers to a game will start off with this system then switch to active battle when they feel more comfortable with the game in there menu screen NOTE some games are made to where this is a set action and that you must play as one or the other who cares right the games are for the most part good.
-Command list: all right my favored thing in a game is to look at how organized the command list is for me and how it works each ff has had a change in the list some where basic some where not for the most part they would look something like this.

Fight
Magic/spell
Summon
Skills
Items

But what happens when we get to a game like ff 7 or 8 and even on up to 10 and 10-2

Theses games broke the normal rules do to this factor the games where made to have different looks. Lets start off with the most recent and move back this time final fantasy x-2 was not a big turn out you had limited move meant and skills during this game you had to work spear threw spear to get what you wanted annoying yes effective some what say you really wanted to keep to the basics Rikku with here thief Pain with warrior and Yuan with gunner then you could simply work on all these aspect but as soon as you got new spears what did you do experiment of cores… well that bring another part of that game up you hp and attack power was determined bye the spears…moving down the line a bit would be ff-x a great game using what they called a spear grid your command list was basic attack items….that was it I think…with the spear grid as you play the game you got hp spears to level up the hp mp spears and so on but you also got ability and magic spears this is how you got the abilities and magic that should have explained its self. Ff 8 is next on this list this game as well was a basic attack magic item GF what’s a GF for those who haven’t played or really didn’t pay attention this means guardian force or you summons. This game is only differed by one way free range of choice the command list was yours to set up basic yes but in the same way it gave each character purpose… 7 is the most ahcword and here is why we no the basic how many times can I say them but here come another set up like ff 10 only much more basic matira it was called and shall be now here is the trick witch each matira you put on some one something is taken a way but you command list can grow large I cant even count al the abilities one person could have at one time it had to have been the most on organized yet most played game….

Limits breaks
Awe yes the limit break something each game has different this is where I wont explain but let you imaginations play take a fiction character and give it and attack after one of these two things happen you in a fight and you loses enough hp and it triggers a limit break or also there is a set amount of attacks received and given that allow this to trigger each of these limit break styles is good but what would your own be remember this is something I want people to think about what would they use out of this to make there own type of game.

Level up systems
Leveling up is basic gather exp and grow stronger in most of the games entail ten arrived this takes us back to something I have said before spear grid ff10 changed the basics on leveling you they made it so you required spears to gain hp mp strength, agility, wisdom. And other cool things….another game with a different way of teaching level up would have to be ff9 do to the fact that you weapons armor and other aspect are what gave you the ability to level up and give skills.

Weapons and spells.

All right now we come to the fun part ever gamer says hey guns are cheap swords are week fist kick but or vice versa and if you look threw any rpg now there is a newly found mix and even in the history there was so here are some of the basic weapons you see.
Sword, bow/arrow, knife, staff, spear, gauntlets, sherkins, books, guns boomerang, wrist launcher, dagger, bustard-sword, fists….those are some of the basic weapons…oh and can’t forget forks….

- spells I’m just going to generalize here what there is first dark magic
- lightning , ice, fire, water,
Wight magic’s are
-cure heal esuna life thing such as this…there is also one more class
Creative- demi, gravija, altima, and doom.

classes
Here is a list of titles for classes if you need more data look it up or ask me at a later time.

Knight, Black Belt, Thief, Dragoon, Ninja, Samurai, Berserker, Hunter, White Magician, Black Magician, Time/Space Magician, Caller, Blue Magician, Red Magician, Monster Trainer, Medicine Man, Nature Psychic, Bard,Dancer, Traveler, Mimic.

Hmm... if I were to make an RPG combining various Final Fantasy aspects, there are some things that I absolutely couldn't go without having.

Job classes. FFIII, FFV, FFT, FFT:A, FFX-2, and FFXI all had the right idea with this one. You, as the player, should have the choice to determine exactly who the hero of the story is. I'd have:

Warrior
Monk
Thief
Knight
Archer
Lancer (Dragoon)
Berserker
Beastmaster
White Mage
Black Mage
Red Mage
Blue Mage
Bard

To avoid an overkill of job classes, I'd likely stop with those twelve.

As for a battle system, as much as I enjoy the Turn-based Strategy that FFT offers, I'm more keen on the Real-time Strategy that FFXI offers. The problem comes in utilizing that system when you're controlling a party of four characters. Yes, four. That's how many I'd allow at any given time. As such, I'd probably have to stray away for what I'm really aiming for, and go with an ATB gauge.

Maximum characters would be twelve. There would be six story characters, five of which you cannot change and may lose at various points in the game; the sixth would be your hero. You may hire up to six additional party members. I'd stick with a single race, Human, just for simplicity's sake.

Since it would be a new title with all of the new technologies available, you would be able to physically create your hero and any character you hire, with a few options like FF:CC and FFXI.

As far as anything else, well, I'm too out of it to work up a storyline and such. Those are the basic ideas you need for game creation anyhow -- the next big step is the storyboard.

Hmmm...just what the doctor ordered me. What FF aspects would I choose from the rest?

--Job Classes: The cream and crop of most of the FFs. This is the thing I would always choose first. While I like Loco's idea (few classes, all of them with a definite use), I would add some more. I presume his idea was that Paladin and Dark Knight were overpowering and basically a mix of two classes. I wonder why he didn't chose the Ninja? So, I'd add the Pally, the DK and the Ninja to the mix. Perhaps also the Juggler, I liked it since it was original, and very effective. 16 classes are not that bad.

--Battle System: The basis of ATB only. The bar, perhaps, and maybe changing characters as with FFX, since it would presume all of the main characters are there. It would add up a bit of strategy. Or the Tactics grid: no side scrolling battles.

--Spell list: Rarely I have seen a so extense spell list in which almost every single spell (about 99.99% of them) are useful. Maybe add some new spells, for new effects, but keep the bulk of them.

--Limit Break/Overdrive/Last Resort Attack: what separates heroes from non-heroes. But with real "last resort" tactics, no "accumulated rage" tactics.

That's as far as I would think as of now.

Firstly for the world I would Base it on FFVIII but I would bring in certain parts like Alexandra castle, Midgar, The Floating Castle, Cosmo Canyon, The Ice Cavern and Mt Gazaget.

As for the Characters they would be based on the characters from I as they could easily be moulded to suit the story.

For the battle system firstly it would be the Job System, most probably the same jobs as LocoColt stated, maybe 2 or 3 more, it will be based on the system on x-2, but more mature looking. As for leveling up I would keep the sphere grid as this aloud you to level up exactly how you want. I would probably have the extra bosses like on 10 but each earned you certain things like you could unlock FMVs from the other games.
'
As for the story I would start with 1, and use parts from the other stories to they all molded together, kind of like making a way for them to connect if you know what I mean.
