Final fantasy collection for the revolution

I don't see Square-Enix doing much of anything for Nintendo's next generation colsole. They have already announced that the actual series will continue on PS3 and that they will support 360 as well. The Xbox 360 support will be mainly about online gaming I suspect. Xbox Live is much more established and works a lot better than PS2 online and I think that's why they decided to port FF XI to Xbox 360. I can see them doing more online games for that console as well...

A compilation would be absolutely great, but I think there'd be more money in doing it for Playstation 3. VII-X was the most internationally succesful period of Final Fantasy and all those were for Sony consoles. So there'd be more money in doing it for a Sony audience...

And I don't think Nintendo can actually make the old Nintendo Final Fantasy games available for free download. Because of the playstation re-issues, Square Enix still owns the rights to to those...

I'm sure that Square would open their arms to more profits from this new Nintendo console. But, I'm doubting anything past FF6 would make it to the console, considering that FF7 was oh.. 3 CDs? (1.9GB, roughly), then FFVIII and IX (both would stand around 2.6GB, give or take) and their 4 CD stand, heh.

it woundt work out there are to many that people dont falow such as mystic quest for exsample is a snes game that not many have heard of there are so many nitendo games that would need to be retoro fited to do such a task woud take them more money and sqaure-enix has to many other larg porjects right now... but to say for sake of argument it did happen ide say they would wate for the ps3

So from what I could tell, you're basically saying people wouldn't want to play it JUST because of the old games? Riight. I would consider Mystic Quest a nice bonus on top of the very well known FFI, IV, and VI. Old, barely known games make it into collections all the time, it's why people look forward to them.

sorta what im trying to say it not enuff peopl no or have played the older games to enjoy full claections and to take the time to remaster them all...i my self would love it but i dont not its all up to sqaure.

Yeah I would definitely look forward to that complete Collection. & I I hope it will be many disks that we would have to change which will have the updated graphics

Nintendo and Sony aren't on friendly terms, and no way in hell would Sony let Nintendo do something like that. Possibly a 1-6 collection on Revolution (actually, it should 100% be on the Revolution (1-6) because those games are on Nintendo platforms). If you didn't know, Sony kinda hates Nintendo for backstabbing it during the Playstation's development. They would never cooperate. Plus, try to find one hardware company (Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony) make first-party titles for a different system than its own... none. right??? And zidane... I Nintendo would never let Sony use their games and vice versa. Plus, I doubt either company wants to go out of their way to make beautiful graphics out of dated (but still great) graphics. And, hello, the Revolution (even though I am a Nintendo fanboy) will not be able to run PS3 graphics. Are you crazy??? Nintendo is a creative company, that is why I proudly own a DS not no stupid PSP.

Um...just cuz you haven't seen anything yet doesn't mean the Revolution's own games won't be able to match the PS3's graphics. >.> The Cube outdid the PS2 on graphics in most areas, and a lot of it's games are just as creative. ><

...you are completely oblivious to the fact that something like this is ENTIRELY Square-Enix's decision, aren't you? Sony has absolutely zero say in whether Square decides to release a collection on another console.

Take Capcom's Resident Evil 4, for example. It was supposed to be GAMECUBE EXCLUSIVE, and they ported it over to the PS2 anyway. That was Capcom's decision, and Nintendo couldn't do a damn thing about it.

You got it wrong.

Sony ****ed Nintendo and then left during the Playstation project and created the PSX on their own. It was a joint effort and Sony wasn't making much in the way of progress without impeding Nintendo.

And the graphics for the Rev vs the PS3 will hardly be noticable. Polygons per second aren't hard to push out of even the dinkiest of machines.

In my opinion allthough I doubt they will do it they should release the entire collection for both consoles, the only official FF that hasnt been made for sony is FFIII, its the god damn missing link for a perfect collection!!!! But yeah, I know little if anything about the Revolution Though I was a sega fanboy then moved to ps1

I think Square would make a lot of money if they did that but they also would have to through away all the Final Fantasy games they are trying to sell seperate.
